Actually relationship of president and parliament is such that where no one can becomes so powerful to override rules and take control of whole country. Everyone shares power and thus had limited control over country affairs.
This is essential because of diverse population we have.

I always felt anger when we were called a banana republic, but look at this non-sense of sticking some one over our throat against the wishes of majority. I know the president has no powers in the political setup, but are the people cannot even enjoy atleast this power of selecting someone of their choice to be a President! Hope the rulers will change the rule of election of a president and ask the people to elect eminent people directly without any party candidate contesting! A TALL WISH indeed!
its really very stupied seeing president being elected by politians ever since india got independence. politians are elected majorly by the votes of rural area an not by the urban populations so actually the intelectual people are no where in picture , hence the president should be elected by the general voting and each resident should compulsory vote but not only for this for each elections every citizen should vote. parliament should pass bill for making everybody vote .
