Somnath Chatterjee functioned in a brazenly partisan manner as Speaker, and the Left wanted him to be President. About recognition to women, the Marxists could discover(?) spouse of Prakash Karat, but none of the toiling supporters of the party for politbureau. Let all leftists abroad and in India have women their presidents, and chief ministers in India. Convolution is the privilege only of commies.
In this rotten Indian politics, I believe Pratibha Patil (Shekhawat?) has a good chance. Bhairo Singh Shekhawat has less chances. What BJP should do now is to change its gear and put up "Najma Heptulla" as an independent candidate. A lot of 3rd front parties that opposed BSShekhawat silently, cannot oppose heptulla; this is the Indian Politics is? BJP should seriously consider it. It will have better chance...
Our PM must have experienced in his loneliness being a single rubberstamp of Sonia Gandhi, and he found another rubberstamp, for the highest post. Now he will feel very happy.
Mr Bardan the CPM leader was committed from the begining to project a women candidate for the presidentship, though their experience in the last presidents election by projecting a women candidate is well known to every citizen of India.
Since they are interested to project Mr Chatterjee the present Lokha Sabha speaker atleast for the vice presidents post in the coming election, they accepted prathiba patil. Definately this deal must be there between Left and Sonia. Mr Karunanidhi the DMK also want the vice president post for his nominee and the same was refused by the Left. In the meantime Mr MK succeeded in the bargain and his daughter Kanimozhi is geting into the Central Ministry. Hence everybody left or right, front or back got their share of power at the cost of nation. Thereafter requesting NDA by PM and Sonia to support the UPA candidate is baseless. The UPA should have consulted all party leaders, former prime ministers while nominating a candidate for the presidnets post. It is our proud to have a president who is acceptable for the entire nation and to the world.Mere quality of the loyality to Gandhi family and Congress party should not be creteria.

The arguments lefits are giving in this top most presidential election that every body should favor a woman, but without a distiguishable experience on administration/constution and not an international reputable person like Najma Heptullah etc. is showing the blindness to serve foreign lady and its coterie thereby give help to destroy Indias integrity and democratic set up. We ask you, these leftists where where they when in Kerala, their southern strong support base, once they projected Mrs. K.R. Gowri Amma, the then veteran leader of Marxist Party at that time as Chief Minister of Kerala and won the election, but after getting the majority, they simply thrown out / kicked out this lady and atlast she herself started a new political outfit, which then go alongwith Congress Front. So, don't argue and give suggestion to the public that they are respecting women so much, because their own house is neglecting women leaders even in Kerala, Tripura, West Bengal. Even their Chinese and earlier USSR Communist leaders never projected or supported or bring in front, women leaders in their own countries. By simply projecting a lady for the super post and not doing anything for the problems of women as a whole, it is only an eyewash in the public and public knows very well the trap they are making.
