Arrogance of Chennas Namboodrippadu
by on Jul 14, 2007 11:58 AM  Permalink

Infact it is the presence of people like Chennas Namboodirippadu that de-secrate the Guruvayoor Temple, not the visit of Ravikrishna or anyone for that matter. Infact Ravikrishna & family can take the tantri to court for redressing their hurt. Even on the occassion of his marriage the then tantri(uncle of this present tantri) conducted a punyaham. Both families should have taken the tantri to court. But the tantri went & met Vayalar Ravi and Ravikrishna's inlaws at their house and pleaded
"Please don't take me to he court as I have three daughters to be married". Unfortunately his request was heeded to. Infact both should've demanded a regret and a 'prayaschitham' from the tantri for refraining from legal action. Now they are facing the consequences of allowing the uncle to go scot free. The nephew has spitted on them. Unless the tantri is brought to book by legal re-course there is no remedy. People who pose on this board as apostles of Hinduism please note that tolerance is the basic pillar of Hinduism. A priest cannot behave like a God.
Those who want to know what the word Brahmin means kindly refer to the episode in the epic of Mahabharath where Lord Yama tests his son Yudhishtira with questions(during the Vanvaas of The Pandavas). Read out the reply Yudhishtira gives for the query "Who is a real brahmin?" and then think whether the two tantris of Guruvayoor Temple fit in that bracket or not.

------Kerala to amend temple entry rules: Minister
This is sickening news.Leave the sacred Sree Krishna Temple in Guruvayur alone.Do not desecrate for the sake of pleasing petty political leaders. They will come and they will go but the desecration you are about to introduce will not be reversed. The government's move is not opposed only by a minor section of 'orthodox conservatives, but by sane and by people who have maintained the sanctity of this great temple and it's parampara. As far as entry of the great singer KJ Yesudas and his services to Lord Krishna is concerned let the Devaswom authorities decide.Lord Krishna is mighty enough than this petty politicians he will guide them to decide.

May Lord Krishna curse V Ravi and his family (except the innocent new born) for creating controversies

May Lord Krishna curse V Ravi and his family (except the innocent new born) for creating controversies.

And I am not kidding, but serious.

Shameless Indian politicians can go to any length to satisfy their ego, self-glory, vote, power even at the Lord's place.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You Mr. B. Chattopadhyay well said. Lord Krishna will curse to whosoever it may be break the bounds.

Mr. Vayalar Ravi has his own temple and he neglected to carryout the rituals of his grand sons Annaparasham there.

%u201CIn the last week Dr. Sukumar Azhikkode wrote through Mathrubhumi Sunday Suppliment that Mr. Ravi gone to Guruvayur temple to promulgate about his prestige.%u201D

Let him suffer and otherwise what.

You know Mr. Chattopadhyay that Swamy Vivekanandan gone to kerala, understood about the people and told Kerala is a house of mad men. Then our high religious men thought that Swamy might be from the higher caste of Hindus of Bengal and kept mum.

Yes The Priest is 100% right
by Ratheesh Panicker on Jun 14, 2007 11:56 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The priest is supposed to obey the existing rules & ragulations and in this case he followed the same.

Why Vayalar Ravi didnot changed the religion of his wife when he married Mercy? If he want to make his childern hindu he should have done that. In any other religion such marriages are possible?

And as he know the rituals of Guruvayoor, and the punyaham that happened before 20 years he should have taken care not to follow the same mistake. He should have gone as per the practice and got the clearance/approval from the temple officials.

But for cheap publicity he made all the mess. And the Devaswam minister who is supposed to be the supporting person for the temples tries to prostitute the rituals with his ugly tounge.

For all the happenings Vayalar Ravi and Sudhakaran are responsible. And the people of kerala are not mear fools, hope they will show the result in the next election.

Rathish

What I observed, Christians and Muslims are well read with their religion and faith. Only these bus-stand born Hindus who does not know their real identity write here against Hindu Rituals.

True Faith

'get an Arya Samajam certificate like the Devaswom Act says and enter the temple.'

If you have faith, you follow the law of the land. Gyani Zail Singh and KJ Yesudas were not allowed entry. If they really believe in Hindu temple, then they must produce a Certificate from Arya Samajam. It is as simple as that. But they dont have the guts to do that- they have the fear of ouster from their religion. Famous people wants attraction from media and make such holy temple a PICNIC SPOT.

When a butcher kill 1000s of goat and hen a day, is it not punishable by law? Why a person poaching at Jungle is being jailed? Goat has no right to live? What is the law then?

Thantri has done his duty as per the principle of 'ARINJAAL PAAPAM'. I know so many christian boys went to Guruvayur temple hiding their religious identity. It is not a matter of concern for Tantri. But if he proclaims himself having done the Act, then Tantri gas to do his duty as per the set law.

But a rich and famous person goes with ulterior motive to earn fame in the name of GOD is being trapped at the Gate.
I always chant Mantra at the outside Gate of the temple and I do not enter though I am a Hindu. Why to make these an issue.

If you want to educate your children in Chrstian School, he needs to go for prayer about Jesus Christ.
If you want to educate your children Urdu at any Madrasa, you need to attend as per their religious norms.

In Bengal, before Durga Puja, they bring mud from the land o

yesudas, Ravi krishna, Zail Singh are afraid to get the Arya Samajam Certificate. Actually, the certificate says that I am a believer in Hinduism though it does not say "you have converted". Still they are afraid because they are in fear of being disowned by their own religous kin.

You are abosultely right. I also knew many of my christian friends who did not tell they are christians to tantri but are worshippers of Lord Guruvayoorappan. They just went in following the norms of having the cloth prescribed for entry, worshipped the Lord.
All this happened because of this fellow who proclaimed for publicity.

By what is being written in these columns I feel pity on them. Ignorant people commenting on different religions.

There is no end to the controversies as this is not the topic to be debated upon. Let the religions be ruled over by religious hierarchies and not politics come into it. By opening up a pandoras box these columns will only bring divide among people. Rediff may abstain from putting up a discussion board on this as it will only serve as a platform to fight each other going by the messages that are put up.

After all who said everyone is a human being.
