I am Hindu
by Jeya Kumar on Jun 06, 2007 12:06 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I am Hindu and I have great respect for my Christian/ Muslim Brothers and Sisters.

My Hindu religion never teach us LOVE and FORGIVENESS.

Hindu religion is an intolerant religion with 33 crores of God.
Sometime I am confused who the hell created all these Gods.

I visited many temples and ashamed to see all the Gods and Goddess in Nudity and in various position.

If you are ashamed, then who is forcing you to be a Hindu? And who the F is asking you to post messages here?

no really, how much hav ethe missionaries paid you? Rs.10? 50? 100??

Or has some mullah promised you 72 virgins in heaven? You know it is true, so please die first.

Hinduism is not the only religion that is non-tolerant. So stop cribbing. Each religion has its rules (some logical and some illogical). Can you complain that non-muslims are not allowed to do Hajj - no you accept it as a religious thing and move on. I am sure I can dig up equivalent rules with other religions (in addition to islam as well)
So please move on.

Hinduism does not consider one person as "the only begotten son of God".

Hinduism considers everyone to be divine. "Amrutasya putrah" - everyone is a sone of the divine. Infact everyone is divine.

"purnam adham purnam idham"
"purnaath purnam udachyathe"
"purnasya purnamdhaaya purnamevaavasishyathe"

That is Infinite (God), this is infinite
Infinity came out of infinity.
When you take out infinity from infinity, what is left behind is also infinity.

which means ...

Everything came out of God.
What comes out of God is also God.
What is left behind is also God
In short, everything is God.

We don't have "the only begotten son of God" and "the last messenger from God" in our religion.

Are you really a Hindu. Why ought you be ashamed of seeing all the Gods and Goddress in Nudity and in various positions.

Get this in your thick skull, just as you eat food if you are hungry or drink water when you are thirsty, sex is an integral part of life and reproduction. There is nothing wrong in it. Dirt is in your mind. Clean it first.

Christians threw Mahatma Gandhi out of the train, bcoz he had black skin. Christians took black innocent people (like us) from Africa as slaves and sold them in Europian markets. Nelson Mandela was imprisoned and tortured by Christians, Martin Luther King was totured by Christians. Recently Shilpa Shetty was insulted by christians bcoz she is an asian.

In Iraq, Sunnis and Shias are killing each other for their different caste. In Afghanistan the same problem is there.

These type of problems are there in every religions. But I believe Hindus will definitely resolve the problems that they have due to social reason (not religious reason) and also they will resolve the problems peacfully as they believe in NONVIOLENCE.

"Basudeyva Kuttumbakkam" i.e. The Whole World Is One Family.

Hinduism is always open to interpretation and that is the inherent beauty of the religion. It does not enforce any laws on anyone. Even an atheist can find a solution for this ways in the scriptures of the Hindu Text.
Regarding your 33 crores of God, that is also interpreation on how people want to worship almightly.

Just like a company which is known by his name and internally by CEO, thousands of employees, Hinduism functions in the similar way so as to make the people tolerant by worshipping different interpretations of the same almighty.

Essence of Hinduism is beauty and if you have come to a conclusion about it badly just by seeing images, you must convert to some other intolerant relgion which says "worship only like this and nothing else" and repent later by getting some hits from them.

Please find your answers.
1. Islam never teach Sunni and Shias to fight. Even brothers fight between them.
2. Islam never divide people in Shia, sunni, ahmadia, aga khan etc, etc. These divisions came when people fought among them selves like brothers fight between them.
3. Saudi arabia is a biggest zakat (Charity) distributer in the world. How you can say they treat muslims worst than slaves.
4. They marry their children to any of muslim from any nation. But there is no chance because the community in saudi arabia is very conservative.
5. Citizen ship is a matter of nations interest. Its not a matter of Islam. Dont attach it with religion.
6. Kafirs are nothing but Disbelievers.
a. Looting is never thought by Islam.
b. Raping is crime in islam and punisment of raping is very harsh (death sentense in islam).
c. Killing of kafirs are acceptable only if they are against in the fight of holy war.
7. The treatment Islam give to women is respect.
8. Islam fights only for peace. If some one makes terrorism then its not the teaching of Islam.

Practical Solution
by Ranjith Parakkal on Jun 06, 2007 11:58 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I feel that anyone who has faith in Guruvayurappan should be permitted into the temple, even if he has been born into some other religion. Now the question is how to separate the faithful from the "tourists", who are there to see the temple, and anyone who is out to create trouble(the temple is suffocatingly crowded anyways, so we dont want any extra people :-) )
Anyone who by his own admission is a bhakta of Guruvayurappan should be permitted to enter. We cant have all people entering the temple signing declaration vowing their allegiance to him.

So how about this ... Anyone how has to enter the temple has to hold his hands above his head and cry out "GURUVAYURAPPAAAAAA" before entering the temple .. :-)

Any comments.

In that case why does that person want to enter the Guruvayurappan temple. A believer can as well have a photograph of Lord Guruvayurappa and pray to him at home. Why go to the temple at all.

Do you go to temples ?? If yes, why do you go to temples ??
You can pray before a photo at home. Right ??

Rituals and all are ok. But what is required, is devotion and love ... Bhakthi towards whichever god you believe in. Going to a temple may help increase that devotion. Why deny anyone that right??
What we dont want is people who come to just "see" the temple or sneer at the rituals and worship that happens inside.

Right ??

Knowing fully well what will follow, Mr. avi has visited the temple, only to seek political milage. I definitly not visit a place where i am not welcome. If he a true hindu, as he claims he is, he should also know that visiting temples are not improtant to seek gods blessings. It is more improtant to live as per the teachings. But some politicians have started understanding the importance of religion.

Remember, how one Ex CM of Kerala from CPIM was given a religious rites by his family?

CPIM didn't like it, but couldn't condemn it either.

Jyoti Basu's grand daughter got married with elaborate rituals recently.

His wife use to do worship regularly and was a regular vistor to many temples.

don't mix politics with faith
by mohan kumar on Jun 06, 2007 11:54 AM  Permalink

In 2000 when Mr.Ravi Krishna solemnised his wedding at Gurvayur Temple and after the ceremony then Head Priest had ordered a "PUNYAHAM" and it is well known to Mr.Ravi also. If he is a real devotee of Lord Krishna and Guruvayur Temple, he should follow the religious beliefs. He has to learn from Krishna's grate ever devotee "GANAGANDHARVAN" DR. K.J.YESUDAS. Trust is in mind not for public debate Mr.Ravi. If you think you are humilated Head Priest's act, why you are giving chances. It is not a must to perform the first feed or "Choroonu" at Guruvayur instead you can perform it at SHIVGIRI, known to be no cast, creed and religion. Mr.Ravi please do not mix politics and beliefs. Mr.Ravi please try to understand the advantages and disadvantages of intercast marriage. You got more advantages and these are a few disadvantages. You have the rights to critisize Head Priest of Guruvayur. There were prescribed rules and regulations governing the conduct of the temples and are still there, as devotee you should follow all these or avoid entry into such temples. You took and brought it a major issue in front of media. I appreciate you. Can you ever have such grate spirit in challenging Mrs.Sonia Gandhi, the sole and whole of Congress in her wrong dissicions. Can you dare Mr.Ravi. You can't, whatever you are now is because of her blessings. Even Lord Krishna cann't make you Prime Minister, but she can. If she decides you will be the next PM. So leave Head Priest and make your future.
