Kerala was called a %u201Clunatic asylum%u201D more than a hundred years back by none other than Swami Vivekananda. He was shocked to see the number of caste divisions in the land of great Advaithist Adi Shankara. Legends say that Kerala, God%u2019s own country, was created from the sea by Parasurama & Kerala has produced 3 Avathars in Parasurama, Vamana & Narasimha. Vivekananda saw some people kept away based on caste distinctions but were invited to their homes & embraced if they convert their names to John/Joseph/Peter. Vedas declare that %u201CAham Brahmasmi%u201Dor %u201CAyam Atma Brahma%u201D that the human soul intrinsically is divine. How can we discriminate people based on castes? Throw open all temples to all Hindus as long as they follow the rules. If not, Hinduism will be wiped out by foreign vested interests. Kerala produced several luminaries like Sankara, Narayana Guru, Chinmayananda, Ammachi, Bhattathiri, Ehzhuthachan etc all great in their own rights but look at the state today. Hindus are in a minority & dominated by Christians, Muslims & Marxists all ready to throttle the other. Gods own country has been turned into a foreign colony!
Mr Ravi has categorised the happenings in Guruvayur temple as 'brahminical arrogance'. However, has he ever stopped for one minute to think whether it was a show of HIS OWN ARROGANCE or not....!!! The fact of the case was as follows: 1. Mr Ravi marries a christian lady and says that she followed hindu principles at home. He does not say whether she has ever prayed in the church after the marriage. Mr Ravi makes the most of his inter caste marriage in his younger days and derrives the most political mileage of such marriage alliance and becomes a front ranking leader- fights elections and even beomes minister in the state government. His children have the best of both worlds and grow up with the patronage of the church leaders and also the indirect blessings of the hindus. Now, his daughter in law wants the' Choru oonu ' of their son to be held in Guruvayur. Why not..? says, the father in law....after all he is a big shot in his state. And he goes and conducts the ceremony inside the Temple although it is clearly stated that "only Hindus are allowed inside the temple". Mr Ravi goes inside but his entourage also go in - taking for granted that THEY ARE ALL HINDUS - WHILE THEY ARE NOT. The temple Tantri in the face of such a powerful politician DID NOT OBJECT to their entry but did the next best alternative. He purified the temple premises AFTER the minister's party have left the temple and thus preserved the sanctity of the temple. WHAT WRONG DID THE TANTRI DO.....???????? Th

Arrest the Thantri and put him in a jail cell next to the terrorists. The Thantri is in the same league as Osama Bin Laden and Adolf Hitler since his heart is filled with equal hate for others. Just like a terrorist, the Thantri has attacked India and is making India weak by practicing discrimination against Indian citizens, creating differences and intolerance in the Indian society and torturing fellow Indians. He is hell bent on making India weak and destroying our country only for his hateful, bigoted, evil and imagined racial superiority. He is showing zero empathy for the victims and feels that their lives are less valuable. Definately sounds like Bin Laden and Hitler.

The case is simple a practising christian entering the Temple of Guruvayur to delibrately create a controversey and to attract attention, and settle his political scores.

BostonPunekar so what do you think is the reason for the Tanthri's hate and bigotry? Is it beacuse Ravi married a Christian. What's the fault of the son, daughter-in-law and grandson? Why were they insulted? How about we go back 50 years and find that the Tanthris were insulting a majority Hindus across India and making Hinduism as well as India weak. Bigotry, hatred and caste based descrimination, is a bigger threat to India than the abhramic religions and their stooges.

I read the interview, the Tanthri sees nothing wrong in his actions! I have never met a bigot who accepts that he a bigot. The moment a person accepts that they are filled with hate, bigotry and discrimination, the healing process begins and the sick patient has some hope for a complete recovery from the disease of hate, bigotry and discrimination which by the way is destroying India or whatever is left of it.

The Tantri is no terrorist as you claim. They have the manual. Even Tirupati, one cannot enter unless you sign a document that you are Hindu. The rules have change with time. Hinduism is changing faster than any. Any act that offends others should never be allowed, their rule have to change. The administrators of the temples are not priests. They should make rules to stop such practices.

He's a religious head not nation head to look after all people (religions), If Ministers wife, a christian, enters the temple, then temple authorities will do what they have to do. and u r forgetting one point they did not stop them from entering temple that means they did not discriminate. It is not Brahminical or non-brahminical mr. Lolly pop or lilliput what your name is. Does Mecaa mosque allow me?- The places of worship have their rules. In Hindus, these rules are not enforced by the Brahmins as you claim. The temples are under the managment of the Government itself. They have to change the rules, the priest will follow. Read the priests statement, before you condemn. Before reading the statement of the priest, I also was furious that such a thing was done.

Its a simple case of man with Chief Ministerial ambitions to make his voice heard in the congress echolons and have sympathy towards him.
Readers please note , No is disputing anyones religious rights. Issue is why do u wish to meddele in someone elses Temple. Stay in your own religious mosques or churches or gurudwaras. No one is objecting, its when u interefere in someone elses temple of worship the dispute has started. That too to create a political point when the LDF government is in a midst of a crisis and some one from Congress like V Ravi who himself is a Chief Ministerial candidate. This issue to use the sacred Temple to score personal political points is the biggest of contention.
Infact people from all religions should condemn V Ravi for playing dirty politics.
Now he will shed crocodile tears to gather sympathy from the congress high command. And the end result being project himself as the most favoured chief ministerial candidate from the Congress.
Notable has been the absulute ignore of the issue from the Congress high command, as his detractors in the Congress also know what games he has been playing in this isssue.
Mr Vailer Ravi is just showing his Nuisance value, and enjoying his 30 seconds of fame.
There is no religion involved but simple politiking to score a point against both with the LDF as well as with the Congress High Command. In the end make the Temple of Guruvayur the scapegoat.

BostonPunekar it doesn't matter what Ravi's true intentions are, you and I can only guess his intentions. What is more important here is that even after 5000 years of slavery, rape, plunder by all, poverty, illiteracy and a third world country status Indians are hell bent on destroying the country for bigoted, hate filled and evil philosophy that practices caste based desrimination. If India needs to move ahead we need to put the people who practice hatred and bigotry against fellow citizens of India in jail.

Mr. Kumar, India did not have slavery or plunder and rape any such nonsense you are talking about. Read Indian History. Where ever there is power, there will be misuse. The misuse of power is highest now. The caste based reservations and all that nonsense has lead to fighting to be backward and more backward. Brahmins do not have take the shit people like you sitting in power created. Blaming everything on the imagenary past that comes out of total ignorance is to going to hand the country over once again for a foreign rule. Wake up. If a mosque has done a similar thing you would have closed all your nine holes in the body and would have sat in a corner. No one is supporting the insulting actions.
If Thantri falls on sick,he prefers to go for treatment to the best of doctors irrespective of religion and castes.But coming to temple entry he will only justifying his position and livelihood.

Thantri can also become impure to enter a temple. But then he goes through the process. No thantri gets up from the bed and run to the temple, before during right cleansing process. What is alarming is even they failed to explain the situation correctly, but joined fary by saying YES and No varyingly. The Acharya Sabha should not have met like a small political outfit and made such statements. Hope they realise.

Perhaps this includes Christianity. There is enough information about you that you actually propagate Christianity. You are a practising Christian. Don't lie.

Who cares what Ravi's religion is? What gives the thantri the right to abuse, humilite and torture a young women and her infant son who came to the God for blessings? Is the thantri so drunk in power, arrogance and hate that he thinks he can control who prays to the God and how?
