Everything is blasphemy in the recent past, but how about passing 'fatwas' over more current issues like the foll:
1. Jessical Lal murder case. Pass a fatwa over the hi-society culprits who are twisting the system. 2. Nanda BMW killings; lets pass a fatwa over the BMW drivers. 3. People who drew out swords and protested against a certain sect in a particular community, as a result of the local leader dressing inappropriately! Why dont we pass a fatwa over the mob which showed dissent by drawing out swords in public and killing innocent lives as a result. 4. Fatwa over the so called cheap religious goons who pass a fatwa over the Army for building shrines (how can one tolerate such a joke!) 5. Fatwa over the militants who kill innocents everyday in Kashmir/Mumbai/Hyderabad, plant bombs in trains/buses. 6.Fatwa over all local religious dudes who want to force their belief on all and sundry, begging for cheap publicity. In fact these so called 'defenders of the faith' should be handed!!
Ban any form of religious publicity hunting! Fistly all religions should practice their faith in the confines of the shrines that they go to. In case the particular religion does not believe in shrines; then it should be practiced in the four walls of their homes, not out in public!
Enjoy festivals, but lets not inconvenience anyone outside by having blaring loudspeakers trumpeting their so-called faith to all and sundry!!
We need peace and quiet; not just in religion but also while performing the rituals! Any religion which brings their faith into the open SHOULD BE BANNED! Any form of demonstration based on religious beliefs should be quashed by the Govt and new laws should be institutionalised that religion is a personal thing and should not be made public, and a nuisance to everyone outside!!
Then will end all this nonsense of everyone who wants to make headlines trying to hog publicity!!

Have read some of the posts and coming from a moderate upbringing, I see no reason why a certain community should be targetting, minority or otherwise!
Also I see a disturbing trend where everyone and sundry is allowed to 'protest'; you can protest for a painting, one can protest if someone dresses up differently, one can burn effigies if we lost a cricket match, absolutely everything under the sun can be 'protested' against!! Shocking, for a democratic free society like India and this trend could lead of a totally Taliban-like environment where nothing different will be tolerated; and everything will be dictated by the local religious head of that particular community!! How can so many faiths/religious beliefs survive in such an environment??!
Take for example, this ridiculous 'fatwa' by some Godforsaken 'Protector of Islam' who passed a 'fatwa' because the Army is trying to build mosques/shrines, some cases shrines destroyed by the militants! Noone from this esteemed community wants to pass a fatwa on the militants who destroyed the mosques!!! Take for example the bomb blast in Hyderabad, does anyone want to pass a 'fatwa' over the people who planted the bomb??
Absolute apathy! First the so called 'fatwa' giving religious leaders should be examined before such nonsense should be tolerated. Even the media should not give cognizance to such cheap publicity hunters!!!

right,I think democracy was not indeed the solution for india after Independence.Long back greats like Subhash chandra bose, ambedkar even vivekananda said that first teach indians to behave like human beings then declare india a secular state.Otherwise people who r in power will always abuse poor people like british raj moreover evryone without knowing anything will try to prove that he is a hero and has everyright to say anything or everything in the name of democracy.
And there will be nothing but more confusion in later stages,thats what is happening in india I believe.
indian soil is used to bury anti india jihadis and then people pray over their graves.
THIS IS A BIG INSULT TO INDIA.
instead the bodies of killed jihadis shud be burnt and theyr asjhes sent into the sea,this will ensure that sacred indian land is not used to let to be used by anti india jihadis.
