Have read some of the posts and coming from a moderate upbringing, I see no reason why a certain community should be targetting, minority or otherwise!
Also I see a disturbing trend where everyone and sundry is allowed to 'protest'; you can protest for a painting, one can protest if someone dresses up differently, one can burn effigies if we lost a cricket match, absolutely everything under the sun can be 'protested' against!! Shocking, for a democratic free society like India and this trend could lead of a totally Taliban-like environment where nothing different will be tolerated; and everything will be dictated by the local religious head of that particular community!! How can so many faiths/religious beliefs survive in such an environment??!
Take for example, this ridiculous 'fatwa' by some Godforsaken 'Protector of Islam' who passed a 'fatwa' because the Army is trying to build mosques/shrines, some cases shrines destroyed by the militants! Noone from this esteemed community wants to pass a fatwa on the militants who destroyed the mosques!!! Take for example the bomb blast in Hyderabad, does anyone want to pass a 'fatwa' over the people who planted the bomb??
Absolute apathy! First the so called 'fatwa' giving religious leaders should be examined before such nonsense should be tolerated. Even the media should not give cognizance to such cheap publicity hunters!!!
