When you continue to play with fire, one day you're likely to burn your hands. Hope this teaches him a lesson.

Manoj, I appreciate your love for Sanjay Dutt. Even I am a big fan of Dutt. But, I would pray God to give him strenght to spend his 6 years in prison - and repent for his sins. He has committed a crime - no matter what his circumstances were - and he should face the consequences. Most of the crimes develop from poverty, from mental traumas, from losing the loved ones and from domestic disturbances at a very young age. But for a civilized society, a system of justice must prevail, and a person must be sentensed to the toughest punishments if he or she committed a crime - especially, a crime as big as treason.

What? No harm?? He was convicted as an accessory to treason, for God's sake!! Do you know that in any law-book of the world, the biggest crime is the treason? Deshdroh. He has caused harm to not one, not two, but to the whole nation. If you or I were hiding AK-47 and other banned sub-machineguns or automatic rifles, how much time you would spend in a prison and/or in police remand? And he just did not hide these big guns for his own hobby - he bought it from certain people who are all alleged terrorists or gangsters. Hope now you get it!!

Munnabhai was only his character. Sanjay Dutt actually did not do all what he did as Munnabahi in "lage raho ...". What has he done, man? I mean for the country?? Firstly, even Gandhi himself was convicted of ties with terrorists, he should have been imprisoned. Law does not look at your good deeds - if any, before passing the judgement for the crime you have committed! And secondly, for mr. Dutt - what has he done, that is so special, that he should be pardoned for accessory to treason?? I just don't get it! Yes, we are all big fans of mr. Dutt, but does that make him innocent??

I may be a narrow minded person, and I agree I always want others to do better things. But, that's not my point. It's not really about me, it's about Sanjay Dutt - who is in prison for the crime he committed. And yes, I am thankfully, I am lucky, I am not where he is :)

See through the eyes of Victim's family
by on Jul 31, 2007 08:48 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

hi,
Good Judgement! Don't you think so?
If anyone feel that judgement is bit harsh... Then see from the perspective of a family who lost his dear one.

Though I am a fan of Sanju Baba still I feel that he should not be condoned for his involvement in TADA case.

Please don't support him, If at all he has to be pardon for his deed. Then he should ask forgiveness to the family who have lost their dear one.

Today will decide our Tomorrow coz life is reflection of your own action. So don't support criminal whoever he may be.

Man, he is not a hard core criminal and he has not any harm to anybody. If you think of *good judgement* then think of political leaders like Lalu & co who has looted crores of rupees of public money and still they are scott free. Where was the justice? It is true that he has kept a AK-47 but not to do any harm but to protect himself. He has already suffered a lot.

As much as I love Sanju Baba for his wondering acting but he is guilty of keeping AK-47 which he acquired from criminals.

May be 6 years is bit harsh but that's how our justice system is.

I am sure that he will definitely come out a better person. He has made friends all-over the film industry and outside.

>> May be 6 years is bit harsh but that's how our justice system is.

In China, they shoot for treason
In Saudi, they hang in the middle of the town for treason.
Even in the US, the minimum prison term for treason is 30 years to life (same as a murder).
In India, 6 years for ties with terrorists and hiding illegal firearms bought/gifted from the likes of Dawood and Memon ... 6 years, that's all. At least he should be smiling for not being born in China or Saudi!!
