''Why not Afzal Guru as VP''?
by Milan Kumar on Jul 22, 2007 02:28 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I have an alternate 'humble suggestion'. "Why not Afzal Guru as VP"?

Consider the number of points in favour of such a course of action.

First, India will be sending out a strong and unambiguous signal to the international community that we are a 'forgiving nation' and don't 'lose sleep' over minor infarctions like an attack on Parliament. After all 'its human to err and Divine to forgive'.Such a move would be in keeping with the E.U's advice to President Kalam on desisting from the capital punishment for Afzal.

Second, such a move will send our 'seculars',human rights activists, Leftists,Liberals et al into raptures of 'heavenly delights'.
Third,it will give a strong fillup to our peace process with Pakistan as we'll be implicitly agreeing with M's past pronouncements that the 'Kashmiri Jihadis' are not 'terrorists' but 'Freedom Fighters'. What better way to honour Freedom Fighters?

Fourth,it'll help realise Afzal Jr's dream of becoming a doctor.Hopefully, the youngster will put the 'syringe' to better use as a doctor.

Lastly, and most important,it'll help our 'sleepless P.M. get some GOOD SLEEP'!!

HOWZAAT Sir??!!

VANDE MATARAM

I advise the left to propose the name of Afzal Guru for following reasons:

1) he is a moslem

2) he comes from Kashmir

3) he is examplary in his field. You will not not have people who can bomb Parliaments coming often. He could have acheived what he set to do if not for some stupid cops who came in the way!

4) He can lead people into and outside Parliament during sessions since he should be knowing the area very well.

5) He can make peace with Mushy baby!!!

I suppose citizens of India should stop taking things lying and also understand sonia,s quality and her support for cadidates with shakey past. To end this evel, burn the roots ie throw sonia and congress out of power for ever

sonia has given to the nation a leadership that her rivals in BJP could not. It is one thing to do communal riots like BJP did in Gujarat and divide the nation on the basis or religion and it is another thing to lead the country and bring economic development and improve its people's quality of life.

BJP is a failure, Congress provides stability and an adiminstration that works. Sonia and Manmohan Singh have provide the leadership that Indian citizens were looking for.

Who goves a rat's posterior if Sonia was born in a foreign country. LOL

There is a small problem with your history knowledge. It is non-existant.Afzal Khan was a mughal(foreigner) and so was Adil Shah. And Chattrapathi Shivaji killed him because they were enemies of Maharahtra and India. So try and verify before you open your mouth against a great Warrior

Your reasoning is stupid and shows that you dont understand the what is happening around you. The question is not about apposing the Marathi cafidate, but her past about supporting all the wrong, cheating the banks, protecting her brother who is also noted for unlawful activities. Surely India does not deserve such a candidate for the post of President. Tomorrow with sonia your great marathi candidate ms. Pratibha will also pardon all criminals just to hold on to her seat with sonia

Mr.Raju, your reasoning is equally whimsicle. If pack of stray dogs(read bjp)bark at somebody, does it make the person being barked at,a thief. There are worse cases of mass homicide on advani, but he is still BJPs numero uno.And BJPs own elected members have voted for Mrs Pratibha Patil...So just chill

Mr. Modak it will be really pride if we have President from each and every province of India one after another and also a symbol of pride for women power but this post is not about province and gender priority. It is a post for first citizen of a nation and quality and nation's interest is of more importance.

Picture of Shivaji Maharaj irks Communist's
by Milan Kumar on Jul 22, 2007 02:23 PM  Permalink

I wonder how they supported a MARATHI at president post without fearing MUSLIM backlash?
or probably to make up the mistake they are putting up a muslim for VP post.

I love everyone including ppl of all sects religions. But this politicians r hell break to divide and rule.

Picture of Shivaji Maharaj irks Communist's
7/21/2007 3:37:41 PM HK

Thiruvananthapuram: As part of it%u2019s agenda of Demoralization of Hindus , Communist Government ordered the seizure of notebooks printed with the front page picture of great Hindu King Shivaji Maharaj.

The controversial directive was to seize the note books circulated in Kasargode district. As per Communist version the Note Books with picture of Shivaji Maharaj will hurt the Muslim sentiments in the state! Government is planning to charge case against the printers of the Notebook.

Shiv Sena Kerala Rajya Pramukh, M.S.Bhuvana Chandran severely condemned the Government move and termed the act bought shame to entire Nation.

While declaring Raja Ravi Varma award to a fraudulent Artist like M.F.Hussein who dare to denigrate Hindu gods, the sentiments of Majority Hindus were not taken into account and now a picture of the greatest son of Bharath is irking the communists!

Pratibha Patil as President of India
by Balaji Rajendran on Jul 22, 2007 02:17 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Let us follow this day of her election as a day of mourning.

It is very difficult to match Kalam's legacy. There were never a president in the past and there will never be a president in the future like Kalam.

Kalam would ever be a role model for the Youth of India.

Compare this with Pratibha Patil. (or Pratibha Patti - In Tamil Patti means Grand Ma)

At this point of her career, she should be telling bedside stories to her grandchildren and she has no business to occupy the highest office in India.

I had lots of respect for Ms. Sonia Gandhi when she renounced prime ministership in 2006 and all that respect had gone now that she had installed a puppet as President ably supported by Karat and Co.

We had people like R.Venkatraman whose only contribution to Nation is visiting Sabas in Chennai during December Music season for Katcheris.

We also had Shankar Dayal Sharma who can't even walk properly.

Now Pratibha joins this elite club of great presidents.

What vision she will have for the Youth of this country?

NDA if only tried sincerely for Kalam's second tenure would have suceeded and conscience vote of MP's and MLA's would have gone in favour of Kalam and people of India would have slapped on the like of Sonia Gandhi and Karat.

If only women were to be considered for the post of President, then there are far better candidates than Pratibha Patil.

She is only a compromise candidate because Left did not want Karan Singh.

You idiot Balaji, every person who becomes President can't be like Dr Kalam. Every one has his/her own qualities and principles. You talk very cheaply against our past presidents and also Mrs Prathiba Patil the present President elect. People who elect filmstars to rule them should not comment on others choice. your parents should have taught to respect elders especially when they are elected to such big positions.

I would definately agree with you a 100% She has installed two puppets, one for the Prime ministers post and the other now as the president. Its a shame that we Indian are not in a position to take a decision as to who will be our prime minister and president. Its a foreigner who is deciding all this. Evern today its not too late throw sonia and the congress out before congress finally digs a grave for the entire nation.
