Pratibha Patil as President of India
by Balaji Rajendran on Jul 22, 2007 02:17 PM

Let us follow this day of her election as a day of mourning.

It is very difficult to match Kalam's legacy. There were never a president in the past and there will never be a president in the future like Kalam.

Kalam would ever be a role model for the Youth of India.

Compare this with Pratibha Patil. (or Pratibha Patti - In Tamil Patti means Grand Ma)

At this point of her career, she should be telling bedside stories to her grandchildren and she has no business to occupy the highest office in India.

I had lots of respect for Ms. Sonia Gandhi when she renounced prime ministership in 2006 and all that respect had gone now that she had installed a puppet as President ably supported by Karat and Co.

We had people like R.Venkatraman whose only contribution to Nation is visiting Sabas in Chennai during December Music season for Katcheris.

We also had Shankar Dayal Sharma who can't even walk properly.

Now Pratibha joins this elite club of great presidents.

What vision she will have for the Youth of this country?

NDA if only tried sincerely for Kalam's second tenure would have suceeded and conscience vote of MP's and MLA's would have gone in favour of Kalam and people of India would have slapped on the like of Sonia Gandhi and Karat.

If only women were to be considered for the post of President, then there are far better candidates than Pratibha Patil.

She is only a compromise candidate because Left did not want Karan Singh.
