As per the internation criminal law, every suspect should be treated as innocent until he is found guilty. Clearly neither Australia nor UK seem to be bothered to cinsider it once and published the nationality and personal details all over the world.
What if he is really innocent, but no body would know, as the news had already taken a back page on the popular news channel like BBC UK.

Haneef detention
by annu pardesi on Jul 17, 2007 03:45 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I hope now the australian authroties realizes that the detention of Haneef is illegal, inhuman and does not reflect the fair policies of the govt. Australia is famous for its racist mentality but the judiciary has proved it wrong. Let Haneef be released and start working at Queeensland hospital serving the very Aussies.

dont feel bad friend, just we should never elect congress for power, evern for opposition, we should wipe out congress, RJD, SP and other parties using minorities as vote bank at the risk of national security and pride. Hope this is the best option.

i could show several cases where people of various community make the criminal and wrongdoers of their community as hero and support them.

1) Vanzara was arrested for fake encounter and his community people supported him gathering at the court ( reported in rediff also)

2)a handfull of NRI hindus regularly fund and support fundamendalist organization.

3) Brahmins support Jayendra when he was arrested in a murder case.

4) Sasikala was supported by his caste organization when she was in trouble for FERA violations and the most disturbing act was it was headed by an IPS officer of DIG cadre.

count me for supporting afzal guru conviction also for dawood, osama, godhra burners, mumbai blast conspirers etc. i think your support will not be needed to Dr.Haneef if he is not wrong.

but i need your support to convict a few

1) the person held responsible for mumbai riots, who as a commander send orders to his sainiks to kill and loot people.

2) convict the person who ordered the Gujarat police to not to save the people and support the culprits.

please dont tell there are many forums already in the fray. still those mentioned were not punished and enjoying the Gaddi

this answer is confined to the question raised by sreevastave.

inspite of the march by hindus still modi is in power and rioters were roaming free. Regarding the terrorists in j&k they are not only targetting hindus/sikh, even leaders like omar abdullah was attacked.

Why such HUE & CRY ?
by Hooter on Jul 17, 2007 03:43 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Why such URGENCY ...

by fellow Muslim brothers and Congress party ? I don't deny that Haneef may be innocent or he may not be aware of any plans also.

There was no such urgency when fellow Indians are butchered in trains at Godhra or Mumbai or Delhi or Malegoan or Hyderabad etc ... WHY ?

Why so much breast beating when it comes to one Indian in Aus ? Just becoz he is a fellow Muslim ?

No, I am not supporter of BJP !

But lets take whats wrong with BJP ? If Muslim League can, why can't BJP ?

If Congress appeases Muslims, why can't BJP appease Hindus ? By that yardstick, even Congress is communal ... isn't it ?

General tendency of Muslims all over the world is, "THEY DON'T BELONG TO THE LAND THEY RESIDE & THEY SEAMLESSLY INTEGRATE THE PROBLEMS OF THE WORLD BUT ONLY AFFECTING MUSLIMS".

Thats how a Muslim in India is more concerned about a Muslim in Iraq or Afgnistan than a next door Indian. (Normally that next-door thing doesn't happen becoz Muslims encourage ghettoism).

And its not co-incidence that all terrorist plots involve Muslims. Thats becoz of the Friday's sermons across India.

Religious sermons are not wrong but when it involves preaching foreign policies ... what relevance praying has to do with Iraq or Palestine or Afganistan ? Whats the credibility of people who preach it ?

How much hatred is infused in the young impressionable minds on each Friday ?? Something our PM has to lose sleep over ...

The reason is an Indian is involved here. If it have happened inside India then we would have reacted differently, but one thing remember that Aussies or rest of the world would now won't differentiate between Muslim or non muslim Indian.

I pray to god that, Haneef should be proved as innocent and that will save the indian's face in abroad.

Whats the use of praying ? There are 2 others arrested in UK ...

Being Indian is going to be tough in future.

In addition to being called a "BLOODY INDIAN" we may be called other insulting names as well.

MELBOURNE: Indian doctor Mohamed Haneef, charged with supporting a terrorist organisation, was in frequent and extensive contact with two men at the centre of Britain's car-bomb plot on the eve of their failed terror attacks, a media report said on Tuesday.

The online communication between Haneef and the bomb plotters was prolific and that authorities have gathered significantly more evidence against him than that has been disclosed publicly, The Australian reported on Tuesday.

Authorities believe Haneef's attempted hasty exit from Australia on July 2 was directly linked to the arrest of his cousin Kafeel Ahmed, who suffered 90 per cent burns after the failed Glasgow airport attack on June 30.

Computer records obtained by authorities reveal Haneef's close links to both Kafeel and his brother Sabeel continued right up until the failed bombings in Glasgow and in London's West End on June 29, it said.

They also garnered evidence that Haneef's attempt two weeks ago to leave Australia for India on a one-way ticket after the terror attacks in Britain was not linked to family issues, as his relatives have claimed.

In his message sent to a relative in Bangalore hours before he tried to leave the country, Haneef made no mention of wanting to leave Australia to visit his baby, born in Bangalore on June 27, or for other family reasons.

This is supported by testimony given to authorities by Haneef's colleagues at Gold Coast Hospital.

They said Haneef had made

All of us might have read a story during our childhood
by Greg Chappell on Jul 17, 2007 03:37 PM  Permalink

There was a famous story we read during our chilhood. The lesson was even if u did not do anything wrong but still with the bad group, will be punished. After the Dr. Haneef's episode
there are many things come in my mind like...

I personally started feeling that Dr. Haneef is innocent but...
(1) Did he know that Kafeel & Sabeel in wrong business ?

(2)Why did Dr. Haneef had shifted to Australia from UK ? Is it because he had a fear to be involved in the terror gang in UK ? or just because he went to Australia for better job opportunity ?

(3) Ideally, if he would have had slightest hint of his cousin brother's business he should have had complaint to the Govt. of India or Govt of UK.

(4) Even if he comes back to Bangalore, then also it is needed to be established that whether he knew about the activities of Kafeel and Sabeel.

(5) If Dr. Haneef had slightest hint about Kafeel's and Sabeel's activities in prior, then Dr. Haneef is a guilty and he should be punished more or less as per law.

(6) But if Dr. Haneef didn't know anything then he should get back his honour and pride and Aus Govt. must give him work visa and job back with compensation.

The terrorism is such a thing in the world wide that one must be very careful while talking with unknow person in foreign land. It is better to avoid become friendly with Pakistani, Bangladeshi, afgan people in abroad. usually u can find lots of grossary shops owners belonging to these countries. I am not saying tha
