Pakistan is a unique country in the fact that it has a monopoly in the commodity that it exports round the world, i.e terrorism. Anywhere in the world wherever there is a terrorist strike, you can be assured that there will be a Pakistan connection. This nation is now like a cancerous tumour which threatens the peace & stability of the entire world. If the US govt. under President Bush is serious about winning the war on terror, then they need to consider doing what Richard Armitage had threatened Musharraf with on the evening of 9/11/2001, i.e bomb Pakistan back to the Stone Age. Only when this is done will terrorist strikes acroos the world cease. Else many more Westerners & Western cities are detsined to be hit in terrorist attacks inspired, instigated & financed by Pakistan. The Pakistan govt., Army & ISI are in league with the terrorist holding company Al Qaida, which is actually a fully owned & operated subsidiary of the ISI. The Indian govt. needs to adopt Chanakya neeti and seize the golden opportunity & initiate active steps for the breakup of Pakistan. The govt. keeps saying a strong & stable Pakistan is in India's interest. Thats hogwash. Our interests will only be served once we breakup Pakistan. This will also remove a major Chinese proxy from South Asia.
Innumerable number of religious places and some places of worship in India are definitely working on the lines of Lal Masjid in Pakistan. Our Govt. knows it and our Intelligence Department knows about it.
Can you imagine the consequence of a Military/police action in one of them?

Its not appropriate to gloss over a fact like this and term them as misconception, islamophobia etc. Several conspiracies against the country, bomb blasts in the country have been hatched in the mosques or madrasas. There is active brainwashing of innocent kids turning them into fanatics, happening here with in the four walls.That's what happened with Kafeel to quote an instance. In Kashmir the terrorists have operated and always sought refuge in mosques, since they are safe heavens, with the government in India following a policy of keeping away from mosques.

When an unused masjid was brought down in India,a great furor was raised in muslim community all over the world.Now will these so called moderate muslims following fundamental principles take action now?They will not do this because it is OK for them to destroy others religious structures and it is also perfectly ok for them if they destroy their own structures.What the hell are these muslims,who gave them rights to play with others religious sentiments.Notice a extremist trying to persuade other extrimist,is it not a joke? The muslims should understand that other religions too exits which are much older than their religions,they took the values from other religions like for example praying 6 times a day is directly taken from hindus,the only difference is the hindu does these prayers between sunset and sunrise and the muslims divide the prayer time in 24 hours of day and night.The hindus adopted their praying times with changing world but the muslims are lagging far behind.Hinduism is attacked many times by many religions for centuries but it is still surviving and mind you it has never tried to convert others to its religion by lure or by force but still it is surviving.That is the power of Hinduism,it attracts others by its spritualism,by its peace,by its colourful and joyous nature(there are so many festvals in Hinduism).The muslims should learn from hindus to adapt to changing times,to respect other religions and religious sentiments otherwise they may not survive long

OK... First, Hinduism is not a Religion per say. It is a movement and a form of doctrine - Not a Religion. Second, The people who inhabited the lands below the Hindukush Mountains were called Hindus (denizens of Hindustan), and the first major river they encountered, called the Hindus (now Indus). The Brahmins, were not original indians...they were the oldest invaders of India. The Dravidians were the original inhabitants (Harappa and Mohenjodaro civilization contemporaries and their descendents)
Third, Hinduism is not monotheistic because it is not a freaking religion.
Fourth, the RSS, VHP and the so called Sangh Parivar are so called Religious Outfits which have a very strong Political flavour, through their attachment to the BJP.
Fifth, India should have first asked Pakistan to deport Masood Azhar and Fazlur and Hafeez back to where they came from when they were released. This should have been done at least after 9/11, when Pak was under considerable pressure to sever ties with the terror groups...not too late now either.
Sixth, we need to stop debating religion and start thinking about whether terrorism is looked upon as a way of life...that is probably a primary reason why people are making that transition in such huge numbers...it is amazing to see so many fresh faces in the "most dreaded" list each time there is a review (usually after a big incicent like 9/11 or Glasgow)

I beg to differ. Hinduism is a philosophy followed in different ways, some rituals and practises are common. We all aspire to God who is Legion, Who is One. The various divinities worshipped are the different aspects of one God. It is simply a way of bringing the divine spirit closer to persons not versed in scriptures. The various arms and facial aspects of our divinities merely depict the force of God in a more understandable way. Brahman is different and Brhamins are different. Brahmanas or Brahmins are another story all together. They are neither race nor ethnic group native to a specific land, hence it is absurd to sustain they invaded India! Brahmins were the learned, a sect of persons versed in the scriptures and sacred verses. History of every society has shown that man in his search for attaining divine blessing, has turned to priests as messenger to take his word to God. This is true in Latin America as in Europe as in Asia. Only there the sect did not become a caste or class as it did in India. However to come to the point, the Lal masjid could have been taken with minimum bloodshed if correct action had been taken earlier. Life is precious whether the person is Muslim, Hindu, Christian etc; what a waste of life for the innocent women and children! Musharraf should learn a lesson and educate the youth and children so that they cannot be brainwashed into believing the nonsense the priests/mullahs proclaim as God's truth, when actually they are twisting the scriptur

Mr. Powel, don't teach us history. Alexander called King Purshottam as Porus. We know our as well as their names. Indus valley civilization was the first every recorded civilization of mankind. Mohanjodero and Harappa were the dwellings of Hindus. From the begining, water was the basic necessity of mankind therefore all cities have grown up on the banks of rivers, first among them was Indus valley civilization and therefore in Sanskit river was called Indu or Hindus and people living on the banks of Indus were called Industani or Hindustani. Correct your facts. Today, Hindus are the best doctors, nurses, intellectuals, diplomats.

Raipur/ Khammam, July 10: Twenty four security personnel were killed in a prolonged and intense gun battle with Maoists who were holed up in a jungle in Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh, near the Andhra Pradesh border. It is believed that several Maoists also died in the firing, though the exact count is not known. The gun battle took place about 25 km from Chintoor of Bhadrachalam division in the early hours of Tuesday
There are reports that Sitakka, wife of the Dandakarnya area committee secretary, was among the Maoists killed. Four police personnel suffered serious injuries. The militants took away a number of AK-47s and other weapons abandoned by the fleeing cops. Police sources said that Maoists from Nepal were spotted among the attackers. They were wearing body armour and could not be immobilised even from close quarters.
Meanwhile, tight security was deployed in Bhadrachalam with police checking all vehicles coming from Orissa and Chattisgarh. More police personnel have been posted at various points in Chintoor, Charla, Venkatapuram, Dummugudem and Vazed mandals that border Chhattisgarh. A team of more than 113 security personnel, including officers of the 55th CRPF battalion, the Chhattisgarh police and about 60 volunteers of the anti-Maoist Salwa Judum, had entered the forests of Errabor on Monday morning after getting information that Maoists were holding a secret camp there.
