I beg to differ. Hinduism is a philosophy followed in different ways, some rituals and practises are common. We all aspire to God who is Legion, Who is One. The various divinities worshipped are the different aspects of one God. It is simply a way of bringing the divine spirit closer to persons not versed in scriptures. The various arms and facial aspects of our divinities merely depict the force of God in a more understandable way. Brahman is different and Brhamins are different. Brahmanas or Brahmins are another story all together. They are neither race nor ethnic group native to a specific land, hence it is absurd to sustain they invaded India! Brahmins were the learned, a sect of persons versed in the scriptures and sacred verses. History of every society has shown that man in his search for attaining divine blessing, has turned to priests as messenger to take his word to God. This is true in Latin America as in Europe as in Asia. Only there the sect did not become a caste or class as it did in India. However to come to the point, the Lal masjid could have been taken with minimum bloodshed if correct action had been taken earlier. Life is precious whether the person is Muslim, Hindu, Christian etc; what a waste of life for the innocent women and children! Musharraf should learn a lesson and educate the youth and children so that they cannot be brainwashed into believing the nonsense the priests/mullahs proclaim as God's truth, when actually they are twisting the scriptur
