Lal Masjid - Pakistani authorities swing into action
by s lakshmi on Jul 05, 2007 01:17 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

At last wisdom has dawned upon Pakistan to take some meaningful action against religious fundamentalism and religious terrorism. If Pakistan has learnt the lesson in this regard, it will desist from cross-border terrorism into India, in J&K.

I wonder whether Pak would learn its lessons even after such incidents.

Unstable Pak would probably lead to its division. Balochistan and Punjab is likely ot be carved out of it.

Temporary uncertainty might prevail but India is no fool to sit quitely if it senses that the nuclear weapons are like to go to rough hands.

One things India and Indians should not do is press for stability in that country. If they have chosen instability let us be strong and like history tells us, fight off the temporary threat.

Well Pakistan is not as simple as you predict it is. Its military has control over the country. Even if Mussharaf goes (like his predecessors ) Army will retain control.

what about our so called secularists politicians who can stoop to any level to appease the minorities helping them to nourish terrorism(Jehad) in India. If this trend carries on, after few years Jama masjid could be Lal Masjid.

Endgame for Musharaff
by Viswanadh on Jul 05, 2007 01:13 PM  Permalink

Many rulers came and many went, but definetly not good to have a neighbor's house blazing. Hope sooner than later our loved neighbor would understand that it would be better to set his house in order than disturbing the other's. A democratic Pakisthan will understand and act accordingly than a military dictator.

Pakistani Hindu
by Lakshmikantha Reddy on Jul 05, 2007 01:11 PM  Permalink

I met one Pakistani Hindu on line and he sent a mail to me about the Minority conditions. Please find the same below.

roughly there is 1% population of hindus in pakistan and 4% of christians rest are muslims. For conversion they try there best to convince people that they convert to islam in some cases may be they have forced but its what u have to deal with when u r surrounded by the people of different religion but the ratio of conversion is not frequent, some cases in years (3,4 per year). Hindu MPA and MNA's are there they have some fix quota 1 MNA and upto 4 MPA something like that but they normally remain busy in making money even if they fight for rights they can't they are not that much influential recent example of that when I was in karachi last year some people forcefully occupied one temple and they started butcher shop inside temple so people and MPA's raised there voice against it but the temple is still with those guys. Job opportunities I can say yes they can get and they can't depends on the owner of the firm some people are fundamentalists and biased so in those firms its hard to get job some firms have policy not to hire hindus some appreciate to hire minorities so its mix. I think I have written more than required you might be wondering how long reply I sent, ok lakshmikanth time to go to work take care bye.

An unstable Pakistan is not good for us. If Musharraf falls and he might.., a nuclear state in unknown hands is a mighty dangerous situation.

It is for the US to see that Pakistan doesn't fail and their Nuclear weapons don't fall into hands of terrorists or else the first target of the terrorists shalll be US cities. Then they shall tartget other western cities. India comes last on the list. In any case there is not we can do in this situation. Unless US and India occupy Pakistan. US from Afganistan side and we from our side and administer it and cleanse the place of is scum

To prevent such a dangerous situation , the nuclear facilities of Pakistan should be taken over by UN forces led by the US , Russia etc

Yes last line is superb.
But it is the line that will bring their nation together.
Even though we might not have a seige on Lan quila, we might have a seige in a mosqueue. This is just to show the world that not only pakistan's iamge is bad even india image is also bad.
Remember the people who are behind the latest bombings in UK. All are foreign nationals. None of them are Pakis. So what does it prove to the world at large, terrorists are from everywhere not only from Pak.
I hope the latest seige is not blamed on indian inteligence.

Will this mark the beginning of change???
by mrudul sarang on Jul 05, 2007 10:23 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Its been over 50 years now after independence and for the rulers of Pakistan, it should be clearly apparent that the so called two nation theory is going nowhere. I mean look at a nation like turkey. Is it not that they are a muslim state???

Stop bamboozling the common people now, get ahead and be liberal is what I can appeal to the leaders in pakistan. And by gods sake ...stop all the dirty politics over kashmir, and plough the money back into health and education of people.

Sick goverment of Pakistan. The government really sucks!!
