Thre is no choice...now it has reached to a critical point that either you have to cope or just die in your luxury car in this financial hub..or in your pant house if not in slums... It is not only the matter of international shame because now mumbai is more discussed for rains than movies and business. Now it is do or die situation...
Everyone should have accountability for the work. Lets clean the process of assigning tender first. You need to remove the dirt from BMC and their corroded officials. Get them on the road and show what they had done to this city. Bother about the floating rules? Have a look in Navi Mumbai construction sites (For example Sea Woods, Nerul) and tell us who is floating the construction norms. One day it will become the submerged Mumbai city. Lets get them to road....
These rains have yet again proved that all the crores that BMC have spent in Cleaning the Drains, Mithi River and Repairing the Roads have actualy been just on paper. Crores of rupees are being just siphoned off by these corrupt officials. The amount of money that has been spent on roads and then later repairing them over and over again is just ridiculous.
We need to get rid of these Corrupt Politicians & Corrupt BMC Officials and get people who are accountable in the day to day functioning and also on the amount spent for getting various jobs done. Only then would Mumbai get back its glory. WAKE UP MUMBAIKARS.

Dost ke liye maine Apartments banaye, Zopadpatti mein hi rehne wala dost, Dost ko salaam karo. Dost ke liye maine Mall banaye, Footpath pe kharidne wala dost, Dost ko salaam karo. Dost ke liye maine 7 - Star banaye, Teen - Batti mein jaane wala dost, Dost ko salaam karo.
All the heads of the concerned agencies like MMRDA and all councillors of the BMC, must be made accountable to the Courts, facing punitive punishments maybe they will work. What can be done is if an area is suffering shoddy public infrastructure, then the elected representative from the same area, should be immidiately removed from their position and not allowed to contest election for 15 years. Same should be the case with the BMC staff, they should be thrown out of their jobs and held liable for deaths of innocent people in the rains. Only punitive measures can help now
Kuch nahi hone waala hai... the situation in mumbai is going to detoriate further....wait for few more years and our CM will visit Karachi and say we want to make KARACHI of Mumbai, because by that time Beijing would have become another New York...
Wheneever there is a problem in Mumbai [ rains, riots, bad roadss etc] it is always the suburbs of Mumbai who suffer the most. Down town mumbai is well planned [ by the british] as far as infrastructure is concerned and they can never feel the real pain which we suffer. Any surprise why most of our politicians and govt offices are downtown? If any political party has the will, let them shift the residences of the misisters and the govt offices to the suburbs and let them feel the daily pain which we suburbunaites feel.It is only then that the political class will wake up and mae a serious efforet to improve the infrastructure in the suburbs
I swear, these people are responsible and if they still dont complete all those pending projects, then mumbaikars will kill them.all paisakhau netas and bmc mmrda officials. they are responsible for these suffering of the citizens. one or 2 days continuous rain is very normal yaar. In one day rain the water is logged in whole city , what kind of drainage system they have built.sala 3 saal se ek hi road bana rahe hai yeh mmrda wale.
