Re - Measures
by Vikram Bhonsle on Jul 03, 2007 01:56 PM

All the heads of the concerned agencies like MMRDA and all councillors of the BMC, must be made accountable to the Courts, facing punitive punishments maybe they will work. What can be done is if an area is suffering shoddy public infrastructure, then the elected representative from the same area, should be immidiately removed from their position and not allowed to contest election for 15 years. Same should be the case with the BMC staff, they should be thrown out of their jobs and held liable for deaths of innocent people in the rains.
Only punitive measures can help now
