God is Angry!
by Moumita Boral on Jul 02, 2007 10:04 AM  Permalink

Its true that Global Warming is one of the reasons for glaciers getting melt, but they are other reasons and that reason is our society, where so much crime has increased in the society that people forgot to differentiate between what is good and bad, so naturally how long will the Holy power bear with us? Man just loves to drink the blood of another man. The more the world has come closer due to faster means of transport and communication the more it has become selfish and people have become far from each other. So Gods are upset and thats why why one cannot do Darshan of the Holy Amarnath Shrine.

It is all about global warming and is time to wake up to the reality. The 'lingam' in extreme cold temperatures has melted and now its time for the coastal cities across the globe to be below the sea level in a few years from now on....

Hinduism is one of the most broad-minded of all religions...kamasutra, khajuraho etc etc proves it all...
islamic and western colonialism instilled all corrupt values in our society..
even today,
preists and nuns in church cannot marry as they consider sex as sin while in Hinduism sex is rightfully considered as a normal part of life :)

People are broad-minded. They'll accept the fact that a person can be an alcoholic, a dope fiend, a wife beater and even a newspaperman, but if a man doesn't drive, there's something wrong with him.

all major religions have common origin in mesopotamia
by inkypinky on Jul 01, 2007 08:28 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

around 7000 BC when civilzation first started and spread east & west.

yahweh/allah - (god of jews, christians and muslims) - is ONE

brahman - (god of hindus, buddhists) - is ONE

many holy men & prophets have interpreted in various ways resulting in different religions existing today.

Hey brother. That eurocentric theory will give way to lots of new scientific findings. Here's one example:

judaism, christianity, islam are not european religions - originated in mesopotamia (now iraq-iran) asia where the prophet abraham lived.

similarly hinduism origins is also from iran-iraq region, very near to indus-saraswati and carried into india by migrants where it got mixed with harappan religions.

Dear inkypinky,

I should better say 'the theory of european colonials and anti India regiments' thanks. The theory that Vedas (or Hinduism) came from outside India is called Aryan Invasion theory. This theory now can not stand the new hard evidents. Have you check above link I provided? Mesopotamia is much younger civilization than India.

Here's another:
http://www.stephen-knapp.com/death_of_the_aryan_invasion_theory.htm

Also:
http://archaeology.about.com/ od/indusrivercivilizations/a/aryans.htm

The Vedas is originated in mother India itself since ancient time. This is the latest development of scientific studies.

i don't mean vedas were brought in from outside per se, but the vedas is a combination of religious ideas brought in by migrants from mesopotamia with the harappan religions indigenous to the indus-saraswati region.

there is no need to call it an invasion, but a gradual migration would be a better term. the original sanksrit term "aryan" refers to iran.

"It is derived from the Sanskrit and Avestan term %u0101rya-, the extended form ary%u0101na-, ari- and/or arya- of which the word Iran is a cognate."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aryan

religions very similar to hinduism was practised in iraq-iran regions till it was overrun by islamic invasion from arabia.

the various manifestaions of the ONE is the dispute, Christians say the ONE can become a Trinity, while Hindus says the ONE can become a Trinity and further 333 million, while Jews and Muslims say the ONE remains a ONE.

however it is not worth fighting about as god does not want nor require any worship, no other animals except humans worship god.....which shows that humans are abnormal.

Absurd
by Rajeev Mehta on Jul 01, 2007 08:18 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Its absurd to see a few people abusing religions.IMHO religion is a very personal thing. Its a matter of faith.

No religion can claim that their theory about GOD is final.

I think religion is a manifestation of human understanding of GOD based on individual interpretation. What everone needs to realise is that it is upto individual to interpret GOD.For some GOD might be nothing(ahtiest),for some a divine power, for some a charming personification, for some a male and for some GOD could be female.

Thus,to fight over who is GOD is absolutely absurd and ridiculous.
