Honest Seshan???!
by on Feb 13, 2007 02:24 AM  Permalink

You all are so naive, this fellow seshan was a defense secretary and cabinet ssecretary to rajiv gandhi, who looted the country in bofors and in other deals. He looked the other way because he was a coward and did not have guts to spill the beans! does anyone of you ever recall this fellow objecting to the ill deeds of the maino family while rajiv gandhi was prime minister? My foot this fellow is honest, he just did whatever was possible as election commisioner because his master was dead!
And free elections were possible because of Mr Narasimha rao, who did not employ goons like the Gandhi family in political career!
Also there was a very vigilant opposition in BJP
Do not get carried away by Seshan or Mr kalam

T N Seshan honest?
by on Feb 13, 2007 02:18 AM  Permalink

Oh Come on you guys, how innocent and naive you people are. This fellow seshan served as a defense secretary and cabinet secretary to rajiv gandhi, and he kept quiet when his boss looted money and deposited in the swiss bank accounts! man of great conscience huh! This thouroughly spineless rascal was just another servant of the gandhi family from tamil nadu! ALL the credit goes to Mr Rao for letting free elections. If Rajiv gandhi would have been alive, then his dog seshan would never have barked at all!! :-)

We salute Mr.Seshan
I fully agree. It is our fervent hope and prayer that a caste based/ dynasty based politics end in India. There are countless young talents in this country who can bring hope and glory to our great country, if not for this murky/dynasty politics. When we will witness the end to this disgusting politics and see the light of the day???
Long live India

Close Encounter!!
by Maneesh Kapoor on Jan 31, 2007 09:31 AM  Permalink

Sir,

I met you a few years ago when you visited my school (Blue Bells School) as a guest of honour. I heard what you had to say..but more importantly, I paid attention to what you said; This is a rare event, considering the rubbish most politicians and other chief guests used to say at the time (maybe even now).

I believe you are a man of honour, vision and courage. I wish you were the leader of our country today - no offence to Dr Manmohan Singh, he is a great man but he is too soft for the hooligans who fill the government today.

I still listen to you, hope others do too..

We are proud to hear again from you the one and only man who show entire India what is the power of election commission and democray. We need leaders like President Kalam, Vajpoyee, and Seshan. people who had a vision and progressive planing about India what would be in future.

I read a coment here from one Imam, saying tens of thousands of Mosqs and chirches distroyed and...so an so... india is not safe for minorities. This Imam is the best example of how madrasa's and fanatic religeous preachers misguiding the young youths and deviete them in to terrorism.
If such people does not feel India is not safe for them, once divided India in the name of religion and for imams take next bus and go to your heaven. no one will stop you. Before packing your stuffs, just check what is the present status of muslims migrated in pakistan from bihar and all. And ask them why they are known as Muhajirs what was the reason MQM formed etc?. Also you can check how many temples and gurudwaras remains now in pak and Bangladesh. and what is the status of minority their. In India vote bank looking politicians creating issues for minority appeasement, every one know it. You cannot find any where in the world like India with a Minority Presedent, Prime Minister, Govering Party's supremo, defence minister and all. Remember all these top people came through pure Merit not through any reservation or by any appeasment policy.

surely,India has always been a safe haven for all minorities.abberations like Gujrat n persons like modi, togadia or bal thakeray are exceptions.Hindus,in general, are peace-loving & God-fearing.They have faith in GOD(s).How they can be termed as Kafir?Kafir is a total non-believer.Muslims should respond the generosity of Hindus.

Too elementary view on Sri Lanka
by kumar on Jan 29, 2007 09:41 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

His view on Sri Lanka is way too elementary. When SL government started their genocide in the 70s and 80s, what other option did Tamils have, except to ask for a separate country. India needs to say, stop suppressing or we will ensure that Tamils have a separate country (provided Tigers give up arms). On the hand, we are saying to SL, do whatever you want, we will never lets ur unity fail but please try to give equal rights.

If any body starts killing my people for who they are, i wouldnt blame them for taking up arms. The Tamils are fighting for a just cause, it always has been, it always will be. Rajiv's killing doesn't change the fact that their cause is just. It merely means that perhaps we shouldnt let the tigers rule an independent Tamil nation.

An independent tamil nation on the SL island is probably the only country that would be a natural ally of ours. Countries like SL change their tune to their liking and very often support pakistan and china in international stage. Their condemnation of India during the nuclear testing stage was far greater than Pakistan's testing. All the SL wants is arms to kill our brethren.

Another thing is that whether we help Tamils or not in SL, we need to send an ultimatum to SL that bombing and destroying Hindu temple will not be tolerated. There are countries out there that protect Islam, Christianity, etc but none for Hindus. When Hindu temples get destroyed in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, etc, India is too much a pussy cat

Indians alwas show themselves as if they are the poor suffering who have been suppressed in different parts of the world. On the contrary the truth is far from it.

Thousands of mosques, dargahs and churches have been destroyed by hindu fascists in India coupled to it is the innocent killing of minorities, rape of women and destroying their livelihoods.ANd Hindus consider and try to project themselves as victims!!!Nothing can be more far from truth than this.

On the contrary minority hindus in pakistan are not villified.Pakistan has spent millions in restoring Hindu Temples such as the krishna temple in lahore!!!Rather than dragging them into every discussion(s) online we should try and concentrate on what is happening in India and why we have problems with all our neighbours? Why cant we Indians live in peace with all our neighbours including the minorities within the country.

"Thousands of mosques, dargahs and churches have been destroyed by hindu fascists"- For 12 years i always heard the friday prayers on mosques because its so close to my house.
My tution teacher is Christian and she dont seem to comlain that her churches are brought down.
Why cant all Pakistanis live with peace with the Indians? Why there are still so many terrorists camps in Pakistan? Why did Pakistan attack India first in 1971 WAR. Pakistan paid heavy price of losing it ofcourse.

Thousands of mosques, dargahs and churches have been destroyed by hindu fascists ?? WHERE IN INDIA...AND THAT ALSO THOUSANDS

innocent killing of minorities, rape of women and destroying their livelihoods....COME TO UP AND BIHAR...ITS TIT FOR TAT AND INSPITE OF THAT WE HAV SO CALLED SECULAR PARTIES ALWAYS BASHING HINDUS

On the Tamil issue...we played number of dirty political games there in 70s and 80s and we paid the price for that.

but yes, we shd help tamilians to get a separate state at least with more autonomy. we shd also take the issues related to atrocities perpetrated on hindus in other countries...if India, the only big hindu nation will not take up their case then who else...in india we can hav pro saddam rallies and number of so called secular parties join that....but nobody talks for hindus....shame on us

Mr.Imaan, should be a silly paki or stupid from india.

Where, where and where and it all happened? Oh God! This nation has given everything to everyone and even has kept wide open for anti elements, to say actually.

Who is our Pres? Who is our Ruling party President? Who is our defence Minister and who was before? Who is our PM?

There live millions of illegal bangladeshis in india and what bangaldesh does to us is well known!

Still let me tell to such one Imaan that its few elements whom create such noise and no Indian is with it and this nation has given very much in name of religion. %u2026its own land like pak and bangle and today, blasts and unrest in J & K. Thank you very much.

The lankan issue is far behind for our knowledge. Lets better kept away, instead.

Pointing the hitches even it is a religion is always good for the society itself because of getting some awareness. If that is what she is doing then she should be granted c%u2019ship and let her enjoy our democracy with us.

But if she is one such nasty element like the painter Hessian, salmon rushde, Deepa Mehta etc then there is a west nation to take in such garbage to smell with.
