This thing should happen in all the temples for ex. Sidhivinayak (mumbai),Saibaba temple (shirdi). In fact, This is ours mistake , we allowed them to do this things.
These imperious, arrogant, pompous, megalomanic netalog think they have more rights than everyone just because they're netas, but this is not some govt function - he's here as a private citizen, and must wait his turn, like the rest of those standing in line CM or no - all are equal in the eyes of the law and in the temple.
So what if he is the chief minister. He is still a simple human being in front of god.God has no discriminations. If he dosent have the time and patience to wait and see the lord, he should havent gone. I do understand about the nature of security extended to him because of a threat to his life, but he shouldnt fail to understand that he is not on official business. Kudos to the people who did their job. I guess this system must be mooted at all the temples in the country.

Salute to Puri, This practice should be carried out at all temples, all over India, especially at Tirupati, Shirdi & Siddivinayak. No body is above the God.
It is indded a good act by the temple sevayats to ask the CM and other Political leaders to join the queue of common public for darshan. Why should these political leaders have a separate queue when they call themselves as the public servants and the masters are the public. The public is made to wait till their srvants have special darshan jumping the queue. Indeed well done at Puri. Please keep it up. It is time the other temples also follow suit, particularly those in South India and particularly Tirumala Tirupati, wherein the public is subjected to harrassment during every visit of political or any other VIP. God is same for all then why special priveleges for a few for his darshan.

i do not think this is fair to ask CM to stand in common public line. however we should come up with some solution, where common people will not be affected by VIPs vist to temple.
