I thank rediff to report this story of a poor and helpless victim.Rather than going gung ho about peccadillos of film stars, this article is really worth.
The public support generated by this forum will definitely help the poor girl in punishing the culprits and their supporters.
Rediff should also publish the results of trial ,whether the culprits were severely punished or not.

Thats right, instead of the sleeze show write up by Rediff on the Shetty girl, this is some thing we would really like Rediff to do. Rediff should strongly take up more of similar cases as the victims normally give up due to lack of moral & financial support. This way you will be serving the society at large.
Mr. Gupteswar Pandey is one of the best & dynamic IPS officer of Bihar Police and He will definatly protect the family members as well as the girl from the anti social eliments . I think Bihar is being governed by a good chief minister i.e. Nitish Kumar and Mr. Kumar should take initiative in this matter.

I amconfident of teh judicial system of India. More than anything, I am confident on our most respectable president. I am sure that the president will attend to this issue and deliver justice. Justice delayed is Justice denied.
I really salutes the guts of the girl.I have already sent mail to Mr. President for quick trial of this case.We will make sure to bring justice for this innocent kid.
As i know the Mr. Gupteswar Pandey ;DIG of Tirhut range ; he is very much dynamic IPS officer of Bihar Police and he will definatly protect the Girk & their family members. As far as punishment is concern Indian judiciary system is very lethargic and it is not up to the mark, but let's hope.

It is because of cowards like you that un-srupulous elements get away in our society. At least the present president of India Mr.Abdul Kalam is different. He will not mind if we email him. In fact he will pave the way for some fast action.

Please start an online petition now and lets send that to the President of India, this is an unforgivable offence and the rapist should be hanged till death and if the law does not intend to help the poor girl then someone should take law in their own hands and kill that S.O.B, this guy n others like him need to be punished severely and such punishments should be exemplified and we want justice for this girl at any cost, lets have a petition please, why should she give up her life because of someone else, she must live with dignity and us and law should help her do that.

Firstly i bow to the courageous girl, who despite of threatning and torture from the rapist family members, approached the supremo of INDIA and not approaching any one lower to him. But all these efforts should not go in vain and a sooner positive outcome supporting the the rape victim has to be produced. Well i welcome and request all the INDIANS reading this coulmn to come forward and help this victim to get what she want's from the President.

I second Ankur, I am really proud of this girl and gone are the days when people felt humiliated to confess the occurance of such incidents. I am sure this girl will get justice. I am of the opinion that incidents like these can be avoided from the root if we take a more liberal approach towards prostitution etc. like the western world.
Unfortunately, the poor girl from Patahi is not in the same league as Shilpa Shetty or Preeti Jain or other such bimbos. Sticking up for her is not going to help the NGOs, human rights wallahs, candlewallahs, Setalvads, Shabanas, Mahesh Bhatts, etc. make either millions or gain mileage. Also, she is from Bihar, where 'social justice' is the norm, which means these things will soon be forgotten. There's nothing in it for the 'secular' media - neither TRPs, which means moolah, nor any political benefit, nor big bucks from advertisisng. Understand? If media takes up the issue it will turn this issue where these so called elites will jump in to have their share of limelight
Remember Prince out of that small unknown kid. Media can help this poor girl in a long way if they take up the issue. If any one has contact with news channel pls request them to take up the issue & bring it as a big news in television channel and run a string of SMS to further the girls cause.
