Unfortunately, the poor girl from Patahi is not in the same league as Shilpa Shetty or Preeti Jain or other such bimbos. Sticking up for her is not going to help the NGOs, human rights wallahs, candlewallahs, Setalvads, Shabanas, Mahesh Bhatts, etc. make either millions or gain mileage. Also, she is from Bihar, where 'social justice' is the norm, which means these things will soon be forgotten. There's nothing in it for the 'secular' media - neither TRPs, which means moolah, nor any political benefit, nor big bucks from advertisisng. Understand? This is 'India poised', as some newspapers are screaming day in and day out. Jaganniwas Iyer
