Divide & Rule Policy
by Amit Sharma on Feb 19, 2007 11:59 AM  Permalink

This divide and rule policy has been implmented by the emperors and now by our political leaders.
Commom people like you and me are always the suffers. We overself are to blame for this. What do you think a commom like you or me is going to achieve by the division of state. Just Nothing.

Now think about what these greedy politicians are going to get - new cabinates, new source of money milling machines and what not.

Come on friends be sensible, don't fall pray to these greddy politician.

Make yourself strong that no one can dare to break or divide you or your state. We are Indians first and belong to state by name Andhra Pradesh.

hello

i am born in Mumbai and lived outside India for most of my life. At the end of 2007, i am moving to India, just waiting for my work visa. I am quite interested in this Telengana. What language will they speak in Telengana if it was a different state. Is it telugu or another language.

Apart from Telugu which is the main language, Dakhni - the distinct Hyderabadi mix of Urdu and Hindi - is spoken widely in Telangana. Telugu spoken in Telangana is quite different in accent and vocabulary from that of the rest of Andhra Pradesh. Wonder why would people change the languages they've been using for centuries if a seperate state is formed! Coming to the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad, which are in the Telangana region, apart from Telugu and the Hyderabadi Urdu/Hindi, languages like Marathi, Punjabi and Bengali will also be continued to be spoken widely. After all there are lakhs and lakhs of Marathas and Punjabis in the city.

do you think homogenizing the language and getting everyone in AP to learn a standard telugu regardless of their ethnicity is the right way to go. This way, everyone learns Telugu as first language and english and hindi as second and third languages or the other way around.

Hi Kumar,
There is lot of difference in Telangana Telugu and Andhra Telugu...
All Fimi people are 99% are from Andhra and they always use and abuse telangana telugu for the negetive roles..
Andhraites Show telanagana telugu as anegetive one..
Think when they can show lot of difference in language ,imagine what those people can do right from the water,Jobs, land and food habits of telangana people..

i understand what u mean. A whole section of people should never feel that they are seen in a negative way. Thats terrible. At the same time, i know in india, darker people have negative roles in films and are butt of the joke. Should South Indians break away from India just because a lot of North Indians make fun of them (not in front of their faces but behind their back). I am wondering if there is a way to homogenize the people in AP such that both Telengana and the other two regions feel proud of their state as it is. Perhaps semi-federal within states is a way to go. So certain rights should be held at regional level. I am not saying this is the best way and am not saying the best way is a seperate state. Looking at how this can be a win-win situation.

if its true then People in Telengana feeling of second class citizens should never go on like this.
