Aurangzeb
by Ovais Jafri on Feb 17, 2007 05:48 PM  Permalink

Aurangzeb used Islam in order to usurp power. Acually he was most cruel king of India. No muslims except the Wahabis and deobandis ever give respect to him. Ajmer Dargah is visited and urs ceremony celebrated every year but none among the common muslims even know where this cruel killer of humanity lay buried !!!

Able to come to terms to ones History is correct , but...
by on Feb 17, 2007 05:38 PM  Permalink

I am keenly watching Japan. NHK by its sincere research is educating truthfully everything that Japan and all other countries have done in world war II. It is telling people that not every thing in history is right.

Coming in terms with history, and learning about history is good. But when one is talking of history why bring inclined relations?

a) Naming of road.. let readers react. Historians need not give judgement.

b) Singing of Vandemataram...

Well, then you will say Hindi as a national langage.

India needs genuine historian, not blind people...

My friend, I dont think u r good at interpreting. In most of the quote u gave above it gaves as general statment. In some quotes its says you should wander about treating all creatures .... , in some place its says Whatever is disagreeable to yourself do not do unto others........
These are just the general list which u shoul not do or do. Like we say beta dont smoke, dong do bad thinks. etc.
But the hadhees U quoted above clearly mentions that "u r not a beleiver" unless u wishes for ur brother what u wishes for yourself.
just think which of these is strong statment.

the writer definately seems to be a misguided one or the one who is misguiding others. Aurangzeb was a very kind and humane personality it has already been established by many scholars and historians even the hindu ones. but some mean minded people still wanted to defame him and create barriors between hindus and muslims. such type of people just talk rubbish like the Taj was not built by shahjahan but by some hindu ruler just to keep difference between hindus and muslims and to kee India a backward country

History will be corrected. It was a Marxist propaganda before to undermine the Hindus and their religion. Hindus are going to schools in greater numbers now and they are learning English and referring sources availbale from various sources. You guys cannot go for long with this devious thoughts. Best of luck anyway. Teach Urdu to your kid.

dear chaitanya kumar, iam sure we can learn alot of things from history. better still would be to live in the present .iam sure there are a lot of things about islam which on first look seem quite antagonistic to a modern society.

if you are really interested ,please investigate the matter your self.you must have spent so many years studying your academics, why don't spend some time studying for your spiritual self and maybe clearing concepts which others have created for you.

mohammad ali, i am an atheist. I have been so for many years and will continue to be and satisfied with no-god understanding of life. Hinduism has charvaka school of thought that accepts atheism. There are many other schools of thought in this religion. It has an inclusive way of looking at life and treats all paths to god equally. I am content with my spiritual life. No violence. No jehad. No Al Qaeda or SIMI or any other fundamentalist supporting. Hinduism is reforming by the day. Islam has many serious issues from it's origins itself. Facts will come to the light sooner. Thanks for your reply anyway.

the issue is not what a religion teached 1400 years ago. What matter is the state of Islamic followers in real life. How are the behaving interests people. It gets them scared sometimes. You "educated" people should talk to your mullahs instead of bluffing Hindus when facts are otherwise.

you are right Author may be wrong, but if u want peace in our country then all muslims should say all relegions are equal. and we all are brothers. In Hinduism all relegions are equal.

In india if higher class Hindud consider some as lower class, y an arab cant consider an indian muslim as lower. This is just like in even in US american discriminate black though they r the original American.

I live in a gulf state & I have not seen much of the discrimination that u have mentioned. I had sen muslim stand sholder to sholder irrespective of their counntry.

l the point is, the President and Chief Justice of India have seen the lower caste phase. Many in south india worship saints like Amritanandamayi and Sathya sai, who come from untouchable caste. They have a great following. Hinduism is reforming, albeit at slow pace. Arab s consider you guys as low life people. You are living as their slaves and you seem to be content with it. Will a Arab protest demolition of a Islamic structure in India or illtreatment of Indian Muslim? no chance! How many Indian Muslims protest invasion in Iraq or Saddam's death? Millions right? You are slaves dude.

Dear Brother ,

Islam uses the Arabic term to collectively reflect on those who do not believe in the oneness of Allah ( The Greatest and ever merciful ). Its only a definition and is not meant to be derogatory in any sense. In fact all religions use some of these terms..for example Bible uses "Gentile" .
Any one who professes his faith in Allah is a Muslim.
Any one who associates partners with Allah ( thats belives anyone or anything else has powers to affect any event ) is a Mushrik for example it would be applicable to Hindusim or Sikhs or Buddhists etc for definition purposes.
Anyone who professes a faith but does not belive in it is a Munafiq ( thats discarder / hypocrite )

So you see the point .. these are all definitions .. like any other language . However the comonality lies in the fact that all over the world muslims profess the same faith .. they essentially pray in the same manner .. at apponited times of the day and in one common language ...Arabic .. the language of the Glorious Quran..

As for the "Kafirs" is concerened the Quran says

" we dont believe in what you belive and you dont believe in what we believe ..
To you is your religion and to us is our religion"

Further Prophet Muhammad ( PBUH ) Says
Their is no compulsion in matters of religion

Islam is a religion of peace and fairness regardless of what you may belive .. See for your self..Get a copy of the quran or its commenatry for yourself and read for your self how Islam dignifies Humans

May Allah show you the light and make me a partner for all your good deeds

Your Brother

Majid Jahangir ( A Muslim )
