We are capable
by vijay singh sisodia on Feb 09, 2007 11:39 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

We are capable but in some part our system is not capable recently we are success in space program we should not discourage by this type of event. Some pupil comparison with other country and worried about their tax money they should not forget that our country has a huge populated country and maximum part of our tax distributed for betterment of poor pupil. HAL has a limited source of budget and they consolidated themselves. So we should encourage them and cheer up them because
GERTE HAI SAH SAWAR MAIDANE JUNG MAI !
MURDADIL KYA KHAK GIRENGE !!

HAL - Air show
by Guess Guess on Feb 09, 2007 02:54 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

This msg is for all those who thinks due to the 2 mishaps HAL should be shut down. Well, not too long ago, a team of austronomor lost their lives, should NASA be shut down? Remember, they had some knowlege of what was wrong, yet they took off. Think before you write such statement. This was just by accident and did not know this would happen.

Jet goes off runway at Bangalore air show
by Guru on Feb 09, 2007 01:23 AM  Permalink

Accidents are manageable as long as there is no human loss. During development of new system , failure happens. Very important thing is , this should not happen again. We can't compare HAL with Lockheed,Boing.
Their budget, manpower, facilities are way ahead of HAL.
So HAL should plan/execute things with available resources at the same time keeping in mind security concerns of a country and safety of pilots.

Improper testing
by RaviShankar on Feb 09, 2007 12:57 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Hi,
I think 2 accidents(in a very short duration of time) involving the aircraft manufactured/designed by HAL proves the incapability of HAL.If this is the quality they can deliver, then its better to shut down their workshops.Atleast we can save some money(tax payers money)

Not necessarily.
Lot of people in top post who
failed in 5 subjects in one year during
college. They worked hard and cleared them.
Now in top posts.

IAF
by yogi bogi on Feb 08, 2007 11:07 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

If you go back in history, you'll see that accidents and mishaps tend to happen. Aviation accidents tend to stay in memory longer because they are so rare and look spectacular. The Flight safety committee always looks to improve safety and better operations.
In response to all these comments criticising HAL, where were these people when HAL's Dhruv was applauded at Aero India 2005 and customers like Chile,Bhutan and the IAF were queuing up to buy ALHs..? Similarly, the IJT has the distinction of achieving the fastest time from sheet metal cutting to full product demonstrator in just 18 months, so why are people downing HAL..? If you look back, and do that correctly, even Boeing, Airbus and NASA aren't exceptions.
Being in the aviation community, I have seen plenty of knee-jerk reactions without a proper understanding of the efforts that go into making an airplane.
Rather than HAL-bashing, we should be supporting it in this time of gloom.

irresponsible...
by Ramkumar Murugesan on Feb 08, 2007 05:24 PM  Permalink

I dont know how responsible HAL people are. But one of my friends was working at HAL for nearly 18 months. During this period he used to complain that he hasnt done even a single piece of work. Finally he got frustrated and resigned to join Infosys. He used to say that his bay where he sits used to come to office just to browse internet just like him. we should all know where all our money is wasted...

Disastor
by Venkataraman Sivaraman on Feb 08, 2007 05:21 PM  Permalink

The way the things have been reported by you, we strongly feel that we are not capable of giving good quality products. Hence, we should close down HAL immediately else this may result in similar disastors like these.
