How dare you say northies are the problem. Who protects the border region so that life will be peaceful in India. Who has lead the fight for independence from the British.
There should be gratitude for the North Indian contribution to this country.
Please refer back to the Indian constitution. Hindi is the official language for oral communication, while english is the same for written communication, according to the Indian constitution. As far as national language is concerned, India has 15 of them, of which Kannada is one and Hindi is also another. As far as North Indians in Bangalore are concerned, I would appreciate it if you were to first stop saying "kannad" and "karnatak". It's "kannada and karnataka". Let's not fight among ourselves. Everyone is doing their best for the country.

Hindi is not the national language but it is an indian language that both north indians like me and south indians from karnatak know. Since we both know this language, we dont need to learn kannad

I think its luxury given 2 u by people of KA that makes u think like this. Its hi time U people r awaken up and shown the way.Seeing all this now v people of KA feel wat TN has done with Hindi is rt. When v can learn 3 languages(living) & u learn only 2 is that not discrimination. U people r majority does'nt mean u can impose ur language on the rest.It seems these people have take us for granted. KA, awake. These people r simply taking us for a ride. Do'nt 2 try 2 enjoy that.Wake up.
you morons...this is exactly how the british and other invaders took control over india..ever hear abt the divide and rule policy..i def support hindi as the national language and the rest speak whatever u r confortable in....if this is the attitude of the educated junta...i dont see how india can be a global power to contend with...look at africa, the middle east..dumb ppl fighthing against each other rather than doing something constructive....pah fighthing over petty issues...does anyone really care in which language u speak..? as long as the message gets thru its fine...cant the govts of the concerned state get together and work out a solution? cant the opposition n govt come together and help resolve the issue..? the state of affairs saddens me...and u talk abt india shinning...pah!

karthik, I don't understand the rational behind your huge cry over this..your words sound as though you are sharing the natural river water out of your generosity...TN has the right to get its part of the Cauvery; for that matter any state; as you know Cauvery's flow path is more in TN than Karnatak. Just think what happens if TN stops sharing ELECTRICITY generated from it's COAL Plant. My strong suggestion is - you better stop crying over this and continue your coding job.
