Rediff has blocked this message which contains nothing abusing or derogatory? is Rediff on Karnataka side Sir??? I give the message of one friend which has been blocked :
"It is obvious that the author of this article has not read the verdict in its entirety. He has failed to note important points like - 50 tmc of catchment water will remain with karnatak other than the 270 tmc alloted. Moreover, you need water to recharge ground water...it does not appear magically ! Unfortunately people are only reading the final 2 numbers and not the details. Actually, Karnatak's only problem is that there is no clear cut distress sharing formula in the verdict. "

oh yeah mr. vidyadar rao, I had made som comments too that had no abusive words or contained anything but logical rebuttal of a comment. yet, my comment was removed. and I had written a pro-karnataka comment. does it mean rediff is on the side of tamil nadu? about your friend's insight about needing water for charging ground water, I agree... that is not achieved by denuding forests to distribute free land to landless labourers to get votes. It requires forest cover and rain water harvesting, maintaining catchment areas. It also requires construction of small canals, barrages and dams to store and distribute water where it is needed. Not sit and wait till karnataka to build all that is necessary to store and distribute water and then demand, blackmail and get water free of cost... It is this aspect which has been addressed by the author. TN even protests desilting of dams in karnataka, tell me how you can store water in shallow dams? is this your humanitarian approach?

Surprised to see even my pro-comment removed. i dont mind. I believe in rediff more strongly now that it is unbiased.
This entire verdict has been imposed by Hostile Congress Central Government. Only a Fool would accept this verdict. People of Karnataka will never accept this Tribunal and its findings. From now on if IT companies need more water let them go to tamilnadu
hello all u protesters of this article out there.. If u can't digest the bitter truth then itz ur problem.. Nobody is getting instigated or no one has started fighting with swords and guns by reading this article.. Media is there to convey impartial substance to the people and rediff has done that.. I laud the effort of rediff.. and also requrest not to remove such fine article on the behest of illogical people shouting out there... Clearly tribunal veridct is partial towards karnataka and is a gross injustice to every one out here... Agony and destress of the farmers no matter who it is, whether a tamilian farmer or kannada farmer is unheard of by protesters like Vidhyadhar rao... What do u protesters mean here?? Tamil farmers life/ tamil peoples interests are more than that of kannadigas?? Demand for jsutice is the need of the hour... Letz fight together to protest this politically motivated (ofcourse itz clear and karunnidhi knows how to play political games) unjust verdict

Manny no one is asking to build a dam here.this all issue is abt water sharing for a river which orignates from Kar and considering the technical points raised in article its clear that a lots of injustice has be done against Kar. who desrves much more water then what is alloted to them.Got the point.Dont start comparing blindly

If TN need water then then it shud justify the need and also follow the correct path to get the justice. By playing dirty politics no one can impose this order on us. If you think this is as good as SC verdict, go and study some high school books on indian judiciary.

Come on you have to be reasonable. Then will Delhi have first preference for all funds allocated to projects because it originates from Central Govt in Delhi. We should be rational in discussing issues and not emotional.

The tribunal was constituted by all 4 states and it is not logical to call the tribunal \"politically motivated\" now. Also, this tribunal was appointed by the Centre ONLY on the advice of the Supreme Court.
In fact,on previous cases, for any disputes related to Cauvery, SC had asked states to refer to tribunal first.
I think that this case will go to SC and whatever SC says will finally be the last word.
Why rediff is blocking the responses when they are publising this kind of articles. Our responses are not worst than the article published by you at this stage. Dont block our responses otherwise stop publishing this kind of article

Mr Vella, when you setup a website like Rediff's then probably you can put what all s**t you want on that. for now dont bother.
Thanx for writting such a logical article its should be appreciated the injustice handed to karnataka can now atleast be well known to tamili people tehy are sleeping in some other world. This injustice needs to be corrected. The centre should stop playing its patial cards just because DMK is supporting them. With the ever increasing Banagalores population karnataka needs more water for sure.

Karunanidhi, Jayalalitha and other politicians of Taminadu has miseld the people. They gave wrong facts to the tribunal in expectation of a favourable Verdict. They got a favourable verdict. Karnataka still has a good case in hand to extract more water and clarity on the sharing of water during distress years.
The article is excellent and this the fact the tribunal needs to understand before giving the decision, and the tribunal decison is totally biased towards Tamil nadu. karnataka facing acute problem for the drinking water. We suggest the tribunal verdict to be reviewed.

Why cant karnataka utilise rain water and ground water. Start doing Rain water harvesting like what TN do.

if TN was doing rain water harvesting, why do you require so much of River water????

its your choice to read or skip an article. why are you angering yourself if you didn't like the article. There are many others who liked it for the information it provides if not for the opinion. There are better things to do in life than making such rude comments about others. Think about doing something productive and not criticizing others.

Hey Patil, I wrote a response which has been blocked. If they publish that really you will get fire according to your wish.... Ask them to publish, which has the practical information

what patil said was wrong. but what rediff published is a fact. fact is real, it hurts.
There comes a time...when we have to decide if we have to respect the federation or go our own way.
Karnataka has that decision to make. Its a hard one no doubt. But its also a good indication for Tamilnadu if the federation is worth anything to be part off.
RE:Do we need to comply with the federal verdict?

absolutely agree with this. This verdict has sown the seeds for disintegration of the Indian union.
I'd want Karnataka to disocciate itself from this unfair and manipulative federation
