TN Lawyers are Good!
by siva kumar on Feb 05, 2007 03:25 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I think the TN Lawayers did good work when compared to Karnataka Lawyers. I also think that TN provided good proofs for their case.
Instead of fighting among us why don't we urge the Indian government to unite all the rivers and allocate equal amount of water to each state!

Judgement???
by basab baruah on Feb 05, 2007 03:25 PM  Permalink

This verdict is nothing but a stupidity!! What is the basis on which this verdict being given?? People behind this judgement has to show that they are being rationale in their approach..Understood that TN requires water but not at all at the expense of Karnataka..

Stop fighting ,together we must solve the nations problems.
by rajesh deshpande on Feb 05, 2007 03:24 PM  Permalink

These things need not be made public at all.The Central Government should be responsible for the water distribution.Water whereever necessary should be provided, whether in Karnataka,Tamilnadu,or any other region of India.Tamilnadus water is Indian water,Karnatakas water is Indian water, then why fight unnecessarily. Both the states should employ scientists to convert sea water into drinking water on an economically viable bases. It would solve not only their problem but even the worlds problem of drinking water.Ask every Scientist to think in the direction in Karanataka and Tamilnadu.I am sure they will come up with several solutions to these problems.Even water for irrigation can be made available from sea water if we find a method for the same.

Hey boss think like and Indian!TN people can live anywhere in India. Remember Karnataka is a part of India. You should blame Karnataka government for not providing enough proof for their cause. Withoug knowing on what basis this decision was made by the court don't blame TN.

No more confidence in tribunals?
by vishwa on Feb 05, 2007 03:24 PM  Permalink

This is ridiculous. Even after studying the ground realities and wastage of water, a very unfair verdict has been given. If even the tribunals can succumb to political pressure(no need to mention the TN hand in UPA), there is no need to consider the tribunal verdict as binding. Karnataka govt. in all the aspects should protect the intersts of our farmers.

totaly unfair judgement..
by Kiran S on Feb 05, 2007 03:23 PM  Permalink

Hi, I have been going through the details of the cavery water sharing problems.. i believe that this judgment is highly influenced for political gains and looks absolutly unfair for karnataka. This nonsense judgement has to be taken back immedietly for the better interest of people of both states!!

Power Play
by suman suman on Feb 05, 2007 03:23 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Its power play, since TN has mighty share in center politics hence verdict has been given in its favour. Always we kannadigas who suffer, even though being in state capital feels like we are in seperate states ( like AP, TN, Kerala). Bcoz majority are non kannadigas, some times they even scold kannadigas. So please wake up kannadigas and lets fight for Justice and also please be proude to be kannadiga, dn't make urself fool by just taking in English even if u dn'nt know.

Every city has multi-linguistic people. Please, if you're cacable of, think rationally. The tribunal has stated its stand on a waterbody in a country - nothing more nothing less. People who've expressed thoughts (including me) have no clue of the extent of the farming community's needs on either side. So STFU and BE CALM.
