Advani wants to be the PM , will the UPA oblige
by PKN on Dec 30, 2007 10:25 PM  Permalink

The NDA can win only if Dr Singh helps them with the same sincerity he did during the Gujarat elections. 'Minorties have a the first right to all national resources' "15% of all Plan allaocation for Muslims " We will reopen all Post Godhra riot cases"
If Dr Singh continues on those lines he will create enough panic among the Hindus to vote en-masse for the BJP.
The only way BJP can hope to come to power is if there are enough panic-striken Hindus who will ignore Mandal politics and vote on religious basis.
As far as allies are concerned, only the naive are talking of fact that DMK would not support the NDA. Correct but inconsequential since in the next elections its going to be the turn of the AIDMK to ride back on the wave of the proverbial anti-incumbancy factor. Good news for the BJP ? Not really Karunandhi is easier to manage than the tempermental Jayalalithaa.
The only problem that Advani faces is that development plank that Modi could use is going to work against Advani since the UPA has a done a good job. The middle class which rooted for the Modi in Gujarat at least logically on an All India basis would root for the UPA. Minoritism, terrorism , internal security etc are points on which the UPA would find the going tough .
It is a toss up . Let them dream.
The only thing we can be sure is that Barkha Dutt and Sagarika Ghosh will campaign for the UPA. Their channels will pitch in extensively to cover Rahul's Roadshows - the only thing that will help the ND

UPA has overdone minority appeasement
by ajeet on Dec 30, 2007 10:25 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

In my opinion, biggest cause of defeat of Congress is because it has done too much of minority appeasement (Muslims in particular) added with hurting of hindu religious feelings by its allies DMK and Left which has angered the people of India. They are fed up with pseudo secularism.Another bigger cause is development is never an UPA priority (than its internal polictics) which is leading to its downfall.

yes but then bjp will come to power and again do some stupid riots and get kicked out at the center.

Both congress , BJP are parties of semi lliterate fools who have almost no vision for the country except to divide and rule.

Time to revise the constitution of India !

The entire moslem community will back UPA. Hindus can never defeat moslems. Look at history. All the left parties the Congress and the moslems have a very easy task ahead of them. The final mission is to break India gain and again

but we never voted UPA .. it is not a pre-poll combination but a combination for selfishness and needs. Congress people got the habit of ruling and CPM had never ruled so both took India for granted ..

wait & watch for coming elections and see the future of UPA.

Two murderous ideology joining hands together (Islam and Communism). One is in the process of becoming extinct and the other will soon after all of their followers go to heaven in search of the 72 virgins.

Then we will have a peaceful planet. Maybe they will keep killing each other in heaven, as they would run out of virgins, but who cares.

I think Mr ADVANI IS getting highly optimistic.
by ASHOK on Dec 30, 2007 10:10 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It is true that Congress and Commies are at their Lowest as on Now. But they have enough time to consolidate in case Parliament continues.

BJP / NDA has a lot to work and also come out with an agenda which is acceptable to all RELEGIONS as well as ALL CASTES.

UP / BIHAR Are caste based.
Bengal is Commie terorised.
Kerala is perhaps back to Congress mood.
Tamil Nadu is Dravidian vs Aryan ( still in prehistoric mood)

Karnataka may join in with BJP.

I believe every state has unique issues.
Each state is not Gujrat or HP.

MODI is indeed Chrishmatic and ofcourse Gujratis are well linked with UK / USA and they face and hear a lot against ISLAM in those countries Too. That is where Gujrat became a unique case, which SONIA can not comprehend.

I have seen Nav Nirman days.
I have seen Chiman Bhai and Madhav Singh Solanki days and coupled with was Congress follies. And I was not alone in Witnessing that, whole lot of Gujrat knows Bad deeds of Congress .

It will take special efforts for Congress to prove that they are not Wolves in Sheep skin.

In AP, it has no alliance. TDP (Chandrababu) is not going to support NDA. They might get support of TRS which is very week now. Congress is going to keep seats for now in AP.

SONIA - SAVE UPA BY OUSTING DMK AND LEFT PARTIES..
by MGR Fan on Dec 30, 2007 10:02 PM  Permalink

DMK and Left Parties are rightly seen as anti national and inmical parties which are harmful to the progressof nation. One of them- DMK is making entire state of TN family property of Karuna while Left is making Kerala and Bengal as outposts of Chinese rule. Both must be thrown out into Bay of Bengal.

UPA should instead invite Vijaykanth, Mayawathi, Mamata Banerjee into its fold and strengthen themselves.

WHAT UPA SHOULD DO TO AVOID DEFEAT -
by MGR Fan on Dec 30, 2007 09:57 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

REmove your alliance partners, espically DMK. DMK is on downside in TN, and people are vexed by the family politics of DMK. UPA should take Vijaykanth in its fold and that alone can ensure 30 seats of TN...

Likewise, sign with Mamatha and oust the left parties. Sign up with Mayawathi and win UP.

UP Bengal TN, UPA Can get 120 seats straightaway. Sonia should be courageous, take Mamata , Mayawathi and anti DMK parties in her fold.

RE:Communal budgeting .... Indians Unite !!

If you read Sachar report, it is horrible. It has carved out a path for India's divide and destruction. I wonder we already have Govt. Schools and they are practically free, almost all states have mid day meal schemes. Which Relegion kids are descrimnated ??? Than why this special treatment.

Why recognise Madrassa education for Higher studies in Engg / medical colleges.

( Unless Madrassa teaches NCERT syllabus)

Why allow Madrassa educated compete for IAS / IIM / IIT

I wonder how it is just possible??

What will be such guys doing when they Jump from Madrassa to even ITI.

I am now 54 year old , I studied in Govt school and paid 37 paise / month fee in i960 to 1970.

Why cant all poor people do the same as my father did.

Send your kid to Govt, school and if He has talent he will move up.

Karunanidhi will never come to NDA.
Even if he, it wont matter because in next election Karunanidhi will bite the dust in TN.
TN people are fed up with karuna's family looting whole state andmaking it their own family property
