Modi's Gujarat
by Krishna Padmanabhan on Dec 25, 2007 04:02 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I was living in Baroda at the time of the last riots. Whatever be the provocation, I do not agree with the violence meted out to innocent people, especially helpless women and children, whatever be their religion.

Muslims cannot escape part of the blame for what is happeneing to them in India. Way back in the 90's, there was a terrifying sense of unity within the muslim community which was leveraged to wreck fear and havoc on the substantially larger but heavily fragmented hindu society. While I do not in any way support communal violence, I still feel that the muslim community cannot fight with the hindus in India - it simply will not work.

The best way forward is therefore for both communities not to let the hatred of the past destroy the present and the future. The Gujarat government under Modi has a key responsibilty in this - to bring the pepetrators of the Godra attrocity and the perpetrators of the senseless violence that followed in its wake, to book. The moot point, however, is whether Modi thinks he should.

Krishna, in theory what you say is right. But in India every issue gets politicized.

If Modi (or anybody for that matter) arrests any Muslim in relation to the to the killings of Hindus or terrorism, all hell will break loose. First psuedos will cry attrocities against minorities and then taking a que from the psuedos, Jihadis will wage Jihad. The central govt will move to dismiss the state govt now that we have a rubber stamp for the President. The media and commies will immediately start round the clock comdemnation.

The riots were not the result of a single incident, but they were the result of an accumulation of pent up anger of the majority community.

AFZAL GURU has been convicted by all the courts... all the legal means.

Why is he not been hanged?

Until appeasement like this continues, there will be no peace in India.

Congress stays in power because of this muslim appeasement. So the first thing we need to do is remove Congress from the government & then there will be fairness & peace in the society, among Hindus, Muslims & others..

I dont think it problem with Congress party. There are great and good leaders in that party who are not given chance. But it is f$$king GANDHI-NEHRU family shit.

For example, P.V.Narashimha Rao. One of the best PM ever we had and Manmohan Singh best FM.
Indian Economy is booming because of them.

All this happened because there was no leader in congress party from that f$$king family.

People should not vote for that family anymore. We need to EDUCATE people.

Fully agreed PVN was one of the best congi PM's.But see how his name is completely overshadowed now.He was the man responsible to kickstart the current Indian economic boom. But,alas no congi is ready tio even utter his name lest they be reprimanded by the Italian mafiosi.

Common Man has won

He is not a Chief Minister. He is a Common Man. He has understood the pain of common man. After Mahatma Gandhi, no one has thought for common man. Son's and Daughters of Gandhi's are simply busy in playing cheap politics. People of gujarat are wise enough to choose suitable leader and they have done it once again. Congratulations to Mr. Modi.

With due respect, please don't compare Modi with Mahatma Gandhi. Modi may be a good politician, I am not against your support to Modi. Any person or politician should not be compared to any freedom fighters of our country.

Secondly, please understand that the Congress-Gandhi family are NOT members of Mahatma Gandhi's family.

Thank you.

Modi is the Garibaldi of India
by Kumar on Dec 25, 2007 03:22 AM  Permalink

After uniting Gujarat into a strong state now Modi should build a strong and united India. Modi is the Garibaldi of India. Modi should watch out for the Punjabi speakers from both sides of the border though, the khan mohammed sharif from the pakistan side and the Kapil Sibal and Dhawan, Chopra and Sethi from the Indian side. Don't trust either the Chinese or the Punjabis. Since the days of the Mauryan empire this is the first time a great leader has come to India. He will defeat the psedu-sikularists and the decendents of Shakuni, the Arabs, the Indo-Greeks and the evil fair colored traitors. Modi is going to build the new nation of India. He is a nation builder just like Garibaldi and Putin.

I'm an Atheist, I Support Modi

The election coverage provided by NDTV, etc, was disgusting. They were blatantly cheering on the Congress, and became gloomy when BJP pulled ahead. I'm so glad to have seen their disappointed faces. Let us provide more routs to put frowns on faces of these left-wing pretenders who call themselves "secular". They're liars, not secularists.
