Religious people are easier to offend and "hurt" "sentiments". Isnt the job of religion to make people a more calm and composed person? If it rather pushes you to the other edge isnt it a failure or rather a hurdle than a support? So they want us to "believe" in all this mumbo jumbo or not questions all the magic that none of us has ever seen.. if we dont they would get angry and threaten to kill us. Now I dont see these people as better in any way.. Would they not be a better person without these "beliefs"?
Explain to me the essence of religion and I will convert from current agnostic state to your "faith"..

I am sure in 2050 when this world would be really advanced and we would actually see all flying cars and etc etc as promised by terminator/blade runner (that never happened in Y2K :( ) all this religion billycrap would be gone and people would laugh thinking about how "crazy" "emotional" "offendable" "vulnerable" and "weak" everyone used to be indulged in all these fairy tales and work towards making some real progress.
I wish Sunaina Hameed can motivate many more muslims to shed their blind faith in labelling all non muslims as Kafirs & behave first as INDIANS & then muslims.They are enjoying more freedom in India than any other muslim nation in the world.Lack of true education is tht root cause along with religious fundamentalism followed by majority of muslims. More over there is acute shortage of genuine & able Leaders as no one dares to openly criticise the obvious shortcomings for fear of Fatwas as seen in case of Nasreen & Rashdi Dr.Prabhakar

So much mutual recrimination!! that is no solution. Modi must ensure that the Muslims can participate in the 'development'. Muslims must stop going back centuries in history. Hindus must stop trashing 'minorities'. If there is enough development, you think Muslims and Hindus will care for the rhetoric of the Mullahs and the Mahants. You think caste and religious politics will still be around if everyone gets a good portion of the pie? Elections are lost and won on the gap between promise and performance, which is the source of rhetorical and political power. In India, no leader is honest enough to fulfill his promises because development means prosperity and loss of votes. Keeping poverty alive gives leaders the scope to engage in power-politics including caste and communal issues and sentimental-historical rhetoric. Of course Indians are too busy earning their dal-roti, they do not have the time nor the energy to pull up their leaders who will target the hungry many. Modi has a real chance now to bring all into the fold of development and erase caste and religious politics from Gujarat, because he no longer needs to prove a point to his political opponents. May be other leaders will follow the example in course of time.
Why should Modi visit a dargah? Visiting dargahs or temples is a matter of faith. Whatever his other faults may be, there's no reason why he should be expected to visit a dargah or a mosque, especially if he (like most Indians) doesn't believe in Islam or its tenets.

Modi is just another leader who is a successful chief minister. Now when it comes to his coming to a dargah, do you guys want someone who acts as if he loves you all and ditches when needed? Or do you like a person as he/she is who never changed his nature just to do some trick? Ideally, please remember that it was BJP which shown guts to bring a Muslim intellectual (Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam) to the highest and most honorable place in India. It was BJP again which requested him to continue there. If BJP is against Muslims, Vajpayee should be your biggest rival. Why not he? As per BJP basics, it honors any patriot of the country. We have crores of gods, we happily feel Allah and Jesus Christ as our gods. So, as long as you are patriotic and work for the country, even BJP likes you. For all of us in India, we need hand full of work for at least 8 hours a day. For this to happen, we need more and more industries. For more industries, we need a lot of Entrepreneurs. For this to happen, a great state like Gujarat should be progressive. Sad indian citizens even after 60 years of independence still sees issues in terms of hindu muslim , days have come to talk of class isuues and not caste / creed or religious issues, Modi won predominately because of his able administration and probably relatively less corrupted one he may have garnered few votes only by playing the hindu card he also lost minority votes because of that, hats of to modi the able administrator and hope now he talks of class issues and feel no need to play the religious card which can only bring short term gains and long term greif to all concerned.
