Sheela Bhatt, do you ever read the discussion boards on rediff. I am amazed that you are not perturbed by the responses to your article. Sheela, you and your gang of anti-national,anti-modi, anti-hindu writers should pack your bags and goto pakistan. Many of you even get your salaries from there, so y not just relocate.
Media -may it be National,Internet or Regional somehow seems bogged down with espousal of high sounding words or plethora of phrases to communicate.And short of content and substance- most of the times.The most unfortunate aspect of Media Studies is-that -it does not even prsent the facts without prejudice.The content is a far cry. The time is changing fast.Public is able to read in between the lines,but politicians on either side,traditional or modern media players continue to harp upon terminologies,dictionaries written after JNU came in to play.It is fashionable to sound pragmatic,but it is imperative to read the pulse,before declaring disease. Most of Media channels have not been neutral,simply because of their orientation. Given an option,media`s selective anti communalism drive,fake fundamentalism of secularism will time and again prove all exercises and analyses as lopsided and as half truths. Media`s role is expected to be far more as a constructive section.Probably -they need to orient themselves-with ways and means of strenthening democratic practices,develop dedicated key result areas for national and human cause than only tilting to left or right.Any cost is less to remain balanced and dedicated for upliftment.
Generally, I have no patience to read the long, generally anti-hindu tirades of Sheela. In this article, however, she grudgingly gives Modi some credit (by that I mean with many discalimers, to seem objective, of course). In general, Sheela is nothing but objective in her views, she is very anti-hindu and pro-muslim. She merely covered her bases well by writing this article. If she hadn't pointed this article (in which she predicts Modi's win), rediff readers would not have spared her for all the anti-hindu stuff she wrote. She and rediff know that readers do NOT want a ugly Bhatt's article in their face first thing in the morning on a very auspicious and historic day!
Real development can come only under a strong administration. Look at UP, WB, Bihar to see what the pseudo-secular parties have done by ruling these states for decades!! I am not against muslims, but I don't think 18% of the country have the right to decide the fate of the 82% We need a government that will just stop pandering the the minority politics and work on some real development as Mr. Modi is doing. BTW, the first thing that the central government should do is remove the muslim personal law thing!! A country has to have a single set of laws, not a separate set of laws so that a bunch of people can have several wives and have crazy orgies. This is just a disease India has to get rid of.

John, we are fighting against Chinese, but there are Maoists who are Indians, we do not wage war against them, we do police action to dispense justice. Maoists are Indian citizens, our people though misguided and their leadership got to be treated mercilessly.
We are confronting Islamic terror, there are many misguided Indians who are with them, we do not wage war against our own people, we do police actin; contain terror by just application of law.
If you treat Indian Muslims in India as Hindus were treated in Pakistan, you do not get a secular state, but another Hindu Pakistan.

Lets not take up old issues. Even we are hurt of that massacre. We accept that it happened in Gujarat. But can you guarantee that there was no Hindu murdered before this Massacre and all the bogies ot Sabarmati express burnt were empty.
SO rather than opening these wounds which are on both sides one must analyse the complete thing. Did Testa Setalvad, Javed Akthar, etc covered any Hind families who lost their loved ones during the entire Massacre in the train. Was ever a Commission set to compensate the Hindu family during that time. The Answer is NO. Even during Ayodhya Riots many hindus were killed but Srikrishhna commission studied the cases where Muslims were killed and only they were compensated. So in this so called Hindu country Muslim always had a special place. Did u ever hear these Hindu family cry. No! bcoz No media is going to cover their news. Even Hindus are humans and have families and feel pain when their loved ones are killed.
So please be rational and try to take things in their own stride as they come.
One must get above cast and creed and try to be a countrymen first (Indian). If things go properly then what we will have is a true Secular India. As long as we keep fighting as Hindu-Muslim no one except Politicians are going to get benefitted.

Learn to look ahead and learn to live with the majority !!!! It is because of wretched people who created Godhra & continue to perpetrate fundamentalism & allow Bangladeshis to unabashedly infiltrate & spread terror across the country that the time has come for the Majority community to unite, stand strict & resist & crush all this minority pampering for vote bank & the pseudo scecularists !
Sheela Bhatt is an extremly biased journalist. She is doesn't know the pulse of the people. She cann't define the basic qualities of a leader in democratic envirnoment. She is a novice and can only lick the feet of pseudo secular people.I normally ignore her write-ups as yhey are all sponserd and paid by Congress. Media played a very dirty role in Gujrat election.They were only highlighting and analysing the pole out come on the basis of cast, creed & religion. They undermined the wisdom of the people. In the end they (media) proved to be the bunch of jokers & idiots. One should understand that BJP would not have won almost 2/3rd seats in Gujrat without the support of all sections of the people including Muslims, Patels, Tribals etc. I cann't recall a more resounding victory for any party in near past. Modi is no doubt a mass leader. He has no parallel. I offer my salute to this great leader.
