bcos of a unproven story of abraham who tried to sacrifice his son,but god replaced his son with a goat at the last minute.

their throats are slit by sharp knives 3 times, the goat does not die instantly, but suffers in pain for some time before it dies.this cruel method ( which is supposed to make the meat more tasty ) is called HALAL.

hindus do eat meat, but they dont justify it using silly reasons like the abraham story and we don't use cruel HALAL method.

only if the bakri's were able to speak , how would they express their grief ? Why do they have to sacrifice their life for somebody else to fulfil their religious obligation ?

His birthplace is still the most intolerant nation on earth. Look at the Hajj going on right now. You think any Hindu can go there?? And out stupid Govt. pays Muslims to go to Hajj which discriminates against all other Indians
If only our 1st PM Nehru had basics of History .He gave priority to development over security. He introduce socialisim which failed miserable in blackmarket & licience raj. Many talented Indians migrated to west.India came in control of sychpants, lazy castist & corroupt rulers/buracrates.If he would have given priority to security today whole kashmir would have been part of india, Tibet would have been independant country.Pakistan would have been broken in number of pieces.

Why blame only Nehru? Mahatma, Indira and even the current Govt has socialist tendencies and they still do not understand Islam.

To all the armchair critics of the India's missile program who cannot distinguish between a ballistic missile and fireworks, i request you to use this time and read. India's missile program compares favourably with most of the superpowers in the world. Considering the lack of funding and embargos on technology transfer that we have to contend with our scientists have done an excellent job. I wish them all the best in the future eventually our missile program would be up there with the best in the world. Let us encourage them and not make stupid comments. They have embarked on a very ambitious missile defence project in which even the US hasnt succeeded yet.

Congrats to our Missile Scientists. It's only a matter of time before they are inducted into our armed forces. Our 'MS's' are so good that when (many years ago) Mr.Arunachalam of our DRD visited the US, instructions were given the he be not taken / shown their WIP on missiles!
The morons who think they can speak against the test should also list what missile currently outperformes the Akash or will out perform it in next 2-3 years...

I dont know about Russian or European systems but the USA has Standard Missile sysems built in 1970 and upgraded in 1980s able to hit surface to air targets for ballistic missile defense purposes, deployed in their ships and can hit at speeds of mach 4.5 to destroy targets.
and yes congratulation to the team behind Indian missile systems. I was reading about them at Bharat rakshak, very impressed. Definately the finest amonngst us work in DRDO missile dept both in calibar as well as duty bound.

Standard Missile is the world's choice for air defense and theater ballistic missile defense. For 50 years, Standard Missile technology has evolved to keep pace with the threat and grow into new missions. Standard was developed as a replacement for the Terrier, Talos and Tartar surface-to-air missiles.
SM-1 entered production in 1967 and remains in operation with many international navies. Raytheon has assumed support of SM-1 and is leading a team of companies to provide users around the globe with access to spares and repair services.
SM-2's primary role is to provide area defense against enemy aircraft and anti-ship cruise missiles. SM-2 is deployed in several configurations, ranging from SM-2 Block IIIA to SM-2 Block IV Extended Range.

JAPAN yesterday said it had successfully shot down a ballistic missile over the Pacific as part of joint efforts with the United States to erect a shield against possible attacks from North Korea.
Japan tested the US-developed Standard Missile 3 interceptor from a warship in waters off Hawaii 160 km above the earth surface.

incremental refinement is possible in cars, but missiles are very costly, so they cant manufacture them in large scale unless they are sure their technology would last at least for a decade. besides car manufacturers have profit in mind, so even if they know that their car is not perfect ,they would still bring it into market just for the sake of earning money. cant do that with missiles, bcos its not a profit making business.
RE:STILL TESTING ?
by BhejaFry on Dec 19, 2007 06:04 PM Permalink
Hitting an object dropped mid air is no way of testing it. it should be tested on prithvi and aircraft flying at 3 mach plus speed. for that we will need to sacrifice a few old planes like MIG's , of course the pilot can bail out before its hit! that will prove how effective it is.
Such rigorous testing is neccessary if in future its supposed to protect us against F-16's , eurofighter , raptor , F-118 etc
RE:RE:RE:STILL TESTING ?
by BhejaFry on Dec 19, 2007 06:12 PM Permalink
and MIRAGE 2000 too.
Do u think americans , russians, french test their surface to air missiles by hitting objects dropped mid air , silly ? they are willing to spend more and sacrifice their planes, or they hit an incoming missile.only then testing makes sense.
because in testing u need to recreate a war like scenario ( as realistic as possible) and check to see if ur missile works in such cases
RE:STILL TESTING ?
by BhejaFry on Dec 19, 2007 06:17 PM Permalink
at least they should try to shoot down a few light combat aircrafts! ( which they easily can, given how obsolete the LCA are).
Or if thats too much then at least test it on Advanced light helicopter.
test it on anything that can move at high speed and not a freefalling object dropped mid air.
RE:RE:RE:RE:STILL TESTING ?
by BhejaFry on Dec 19, 2007 06:13 PM Permalink
otherwise in actual war the missile will be capable of hitting only objects dropped mid air by enemy aircraft.

Dear, please stop applying the ideas acquired by reading sci-fi novels. India is far behind developed countries in terms of technology. Only once we develop sufficient arms to counter chinese technology, we can start thinking in the direction of other scientific ventures. Chandrayan is a good step in this direction, and I think we will some day make it to other sophisticated areas as pointed out by you. For now it is just the matter of getting our priorities right for the time being.

If you want to feel anti-gravity go in a helicopter. Moreover there is no use of anti-gravity or inertia canceller. My request to scientits is - Please develop wireless electricity from air just like thunderlightning.. it is very painful when my mobile battery goes down during important call and i dont want to carry the charger all time or do charging everyday from a wall socket.

Go to You tube type "Alien engineering" watch part 1 to part 10, you will know why inertia cancellor is necessary and important and worm hole. I am sure this is sci-fi but still its not far from us.
