After coimbatore bombing, the whole TN was not indulging in riots killing women and innocent children. And TN govt has succeeded in getting the culprits punished by court of law. If it happened in Gujarat, the whole state would have been in fire and modi would have started killing muslims. That is the difference between TN and Gujarat, Karunanidhi and Modi.

But it happen only in states where BJP's presence is more. Kerala is also a good example for communal harmony.
I don't have anything against muslims or even Pakistanis. I think the hindus and muslims are living in communal harmony,only, the politicians and to some extent the media are to be blamed for the incidents that are happening.Karunanidhi is one of them. 90% of terorists may be muslims but negligible % of muslims are terorists.

She married Rajiv in 1969 and took indian citizenship in 1983 (14 years after marriage)... can you tell why.. Also she is still a Christian (read her religion). I dont mind whatever her religion is but why she is portraying herself as Hindu then. Wake up Indians.... I like periyar. It does not mean that I accept all his thoughts. I also like Gandhi, Vivekananda, Dr.Radhakrishnan. I have read their books. But it does not mean that I accept all their views. I used to pick up the concepts which I think relevant and perfect.

but Periyar has more bad points than good points. He only supported middle-castes, his attitude about lower-castes today is the same as was practised by upper-caste. He just gave a quick fix solution to a deep rooted problem and you guys admire him. Two tumbler system still exists even today in TN and I know the comments he made about Dalits. Also caste has not been eradicated from TN one of the pet dreams, from what i heard even converted christians too marry from their own caste which has converted, he has failed miserably in creating a rational society, 90% of people still believe in caste and superstition. He has just replaced one set of exploiters by another set lol. Wait and watch how Tamil Nadu will burn when the megalomaniacal sons fight it out in public. Periyar was just vindictive against 1 stupid Brahmin and thought and succeded in getting political advantage with his Brahmin Bashing. The other upper caste who were even worse than Brahmins in treating lower castes were on Periyar's side. Dalits are treated really very badly in Tamil nadu and therewas a 60 mnt show on CBS once.BTW Periyar was from AP and he could'nt stand a chance with reddys and kammas there who would have swallowed him so he came to TN found a brahmin Bashing nisch for himself.
