commonalities between two faith
by farid patel on Dec 05, 2007 09:16 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I invite all my hindu and muslim brother to go back to authentic scriptures and come to common terms There is only one God worship him alone without any partners. dont worship idols, humans, animals, created things sun moon etc.
worship the one Creator who created everything
that's the straight path and core message of vedas and Quran

Rediff seems to be pro-anti-nationalist
by Rajesh None on Dec 05, 2007 09:14 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Rediff has joined hands in TOI/Tehelka/NDTV to support and highlight anti-national elements. They are neglicting the warriors and patriotic people like Narendra Modi. Shame on them. I think they are all bought by congress. Hopefully someday nationalism and patriotism will prevail and so will great people like Narendra Modi.

Nationalism and Patriotism does not justify use of executive powers bestowed by people to subvert the law and ORDER of the country. The ORDER is the police to arrest and the courts to trial and judge. If the law and order fails, it is not on the onus of citizens to become proxy judges. Law and order is complex and justice is not as simple as pronouncing 'guilty' or 'not-guilty' by virtue of face value of incidents.
Shohrab should have been tried and hanged and the Chief Minister should have used all within his powers to ensure the prosecution is fool proof. But bypassing the law, he created a monster out of himself, which may appeal to some in the short run, but will have the eventuality of any dictator.

Religions are by birth and mostly not a choice- by practice. Hence to hold moral high for one practice is a flaw in intself as it places the least importance of the individual who practices it.

Modi is treading on dangerous grounds and he is jeopardizing the nation's image and accountability in no uncertain terms. If you find Narendra Modi great today, wait for the day when you will be shamed by the downfall of such regimes and policies- as is inevitable with all such 'above the law' people.

learn advaita philosphy .....

we believe the creation is a part of creator and creation is not different from creator ....

basically every individual soul(creation) should finally unite with universal soul (creator) ....
as simple as like that

It seems you are not a resident of Gujarat state. Better learn about the development policies and undertakings in Gujarat, then blabber like monkey. Seems like you are a muslim assuming a hindu name, or worse still, a muslim supporting paki.

I agree with you that criminals should not be supported and should be condemned, but i suppose this is the culture of our country. To guard your religion come what may, guard your family come what may, guard your political party, without looking with a unbiased neutral perspective. Everyone does that, but it should not happen. we should be neutral and unbiased then only we will find truth in all matters.

Teesta letter to EC
by kamesh on Dec 05, 2007 09:07 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Since he is saying what should be done to a terrorist he is communalising as good as to say he can say who is terrorist , if he happens to be a Muslim he should not say he is a terrorist so calling some one a terrorist and if he is a Muslim it is communaling ........... while the history suggest 99% terrorist are Muslims it does not mean that all Muslims are terrorists
