Sri Lankan forces arrest estimated 1,500 Hindu Tamils from Sunday as detention camps started overcrowding with innocent Tamils. Sri Lankan armed forces have arrested Tamil men and women in largescale and search operations within the last 48 hours in Colombo and other districts in South has been stepped up according to reports from local media. Many of the arrested persons in Colombo, currently held up at detention camps, complained that many of them were arrested despite documenting their identity and they have not been provided food and drink for the last 48 hours. Many of the detainees were minor females.
As the exact detained numbers are unknown, parents of those detained youths are terrified as their sons and daughters may go "missing" has happened in past. What next? How of this young will be harassed and how many will be brutally killed?

NGOs cash in on riot victims' misery:
Sunday, December 2, 2007 (Himmatnagar) They are called non-profit organisations but not all of them really work for non-profit. When the Gujarat riots took place, many NGOs sprung up overnight, supposedly to help riot victims. But five years on, many who were forced to relocate, say the NGOs have been of no help. Some even allege it remains in the interest of NGOs to paint a grim reality even if things are getting better to further their cause.
Akhtar Ahmed, from Sardarpura in Mehsana, one of the worst hit districts of the 2002 riots, shifted to a new housing complex in Himmatnagar in Sarbarkantha miles away from his village. Akthar's business as a signboard painter has now picked up and his small family is full of hope for the future. ''We are settled in this place. We have got a house to stay. We don't want to go back to Sardarpura. I am earning over Rs 3000 a month. It's comfortable to run my family,'' said Akhtar Ahmed, riot victim, Sabarkantha district.
''They were earlier living in the relief camps. Now all the survivors of Sardarpur carnage live in newly-constructed houses at Satnagar. Relief camps were dismantled long ago,'' said S K Khadeem, District Head, Citizens for Justice & Peace.

Lets us all unite and create a real secular India, enough of congress pampering non-hindus, when they(non-hindus) dont respect the law,these congress men create a law, they get elected by dividing us into uppercastes and lower castes and later support muslims and siliently spread christianity. One simple question to Christian missionaries....If you want to serve humanity why do you want to spread christianity?..why dont you give bread to a hindu? is hindu not a human, we respect mother theressa like an angel of mercy but in the disguise of social work you are spreading your religion. we respect all living creatures from snakes to dogs to monkeys..same way we respect your religion, dont consider this universal love of a hindu as cowardice...At the end.. religious disharmony is not good for India, stop spreading your religion!!!we have enough of religion as vivekananda said, give people food and other services and let them practice what ever religion they are from. Let there be ultimate law where religion doesnt matter. bring in uniform civil code. Hindus we should unite, respect BC's ST's SC's etc they have a right to rise to power lets unite and stop this religious and materialistic invasion. Congress party is ruining the country by forcing hindus support people like Modi with its anti-hindu methods.
