Also, we have are the one of the very high people who respect non-proliferation in the world. We will help support non-proliferation efforts too, but the current NPT setup is merely a joke.

If no deal or deal, how can you eliminate the nuclear weapon from the world, unless everybody co-operate in this matter. So, why comes with only for India different ways?

Leave the energy requirement for India's need to get sufficient electricity for its growing needs of people.

needs are unlimited, dear friend...but coal and wood of our earth are limited....there is nothing called 'sufficient' electricity- even US and China dont have sufficient electricity, nor had holland that gets 60% of electricity from Nuclear Reactors...'sufficient' is something within us...the day we cut down our needs, whatever electricity we produce would be sufficient for us

brother they did well, it was us the indians who were breeding at formula one speed that the situation became so bad...had we controlled our population we would be able to cook our food with coal and use peepal trees to keep our environment cool instead of AC. If we dont blindly follow western culture and wear dhoti kurta or veshti, sarong, tehmad or wrap arounds, we dont need any electricity. We can sleep at 7 in evening and wake up at 4 in morning- in between no need for any electricity
I dont understand why India needs nuclear power. We have coal, water and sunlight to make electricity. We have the garbage disposed from our metropolitans, we can burn that to make electricity. Nuclear energy is dangerous, there can be a leak from the reactor which can kill all of us and damage the environment permanently. We should not make any nuclear reactors. We should disband the existing nuclear reactors and also the nuclear bombs that we have and bury them under 3 miles of soil. We should have a better lifestyle- early to bed and early to rise- this would cut down our electricity consumption and we woudl not need any nuclear energy any more. We should shut down all shopping malls after 6 in evening because they waste a lot of electricity. We should plant peepal trees inside all the malls and dismantle airconditioners as they waste electricity. We should also plant peepal trees inside our houses and should not use AC in the house. We can have bonsai peepal trees in our cars and stop using car AC. We can walk to our offices from home to save petrol and diesel. If we wear dhoti kurta or kurta paijama instead of shirt, suit and tie, we will feel less heat and need less ACs and fans. Therefore, we should stop this discussion about nuclear issue and make dhoti kurta or tehmad, veshti, sarong, wrap around (Whatever your religion/state prefers). Jai Hind

Do you really think you YOURSELF will do this? It is easy to preach! Why don't you set an example first and that will probably inspire all of us to follow.

Manmohan Singh is to be complimented on his firmness in dealing with the blackmailers - Left parties on one side and the BJP on the other. The deal, likes of which no other country including Pakistan could secure from the USA, MUST be concluded at the earliest. It is a well known fact that the Left Parties oppose the deal just because it is with the USA ( American Phobia ), and the BJP simply do not want the Congress to get the credit, as they were the ones in the first place to initiate the deal.It will be a sad day for the country if the deal is sabotaged by these petty polititians.

Manmohansinh is neither only congressman nor anti national. What he thinks and believes is not important for congress or left parties. In discussion relating to presidential candidate, I opined that congress cannot go against anti national left parties. Similarly congrass was to go against national interest in nuclear deal matter also becuase congress cannot remain without power. So far as BJP is concerned, they have lost their sense. Now people loving this country has no choice left. They hav to accept what enemies of the country make congress to do with the country. Congress left parties = China controling India .

Looks like you are the only sane person posting comments here! AGREE WITH YOU TOTALLY. When the PM is being so proactive and being a visionary these stupid people are trying to put as many obstacles as possible in his path! When will they stop this nonsense?
No one grow on its own. How these left's master grown this much. Nixon gone to US, then China got some living.
So, Is left thinking that a nuclear energy with US will hurt china's trade?
If so, is our infrastructure is that much enough to contradict the growth of China?
First, ask left to do something for uplifting the needs of Poor people in their mud-huts before commenting about any fear on their master's growth hurting. I am concerned about the energy needs of India than other thinks.
What left will do if china, tell something now & later do a gaint mega Offshore & take away all the BPOs like 1962. It will come up with hydro & come in the backside with Medha or Mamtha in their fashion like Strike harthal.
OK. if left thinks that if the N-Deal will hurt growth of china's export, what will do if we don't get the deal & US angry with both China & India & do start outsourcing & manufacturing in another countries?
Don't bring all these topics when we deal for energy requirement to reduce the requirement.
Trust our government for getting some deal, if you have trust in our country.
We are already in the bus when the first reactor was started many decades ago. The only thing is 1 billion people out of 6 billion Indian human beings on earth should be able to dictate where the bus should go. Already we are dictating to the world what India wants. Thank you for making us board the bus again. Only India doesnot have a national referendum policy where eligible voters should be asked as to vote in favour or against of the policies once for all and then go ahead. This policy after referendum will of Indian poor, middle class, rich and the super rich, NRI etc. Everybody wants to hijack saying that we did and after 25 years the present 35 to 50 year old donot exist and will be going to dust. We cannot leave a bad policy for our youngsters and things should be always seen as to what will happen after 30 years or so. The British did forethought for Mumbai drainage system and the present Indians (I too one of them) have no capacity to think about 2025 or so but think of 2008 and 2009 which is a total failure on our part. The youngsters of 2025 will say we were all foolish. Same thing should not happen with nuclear policy too. The newspaper reports of 29-8-07 say that 5% of uranium is present at some place near Ladakh. So why are we not extracting it? Then sell and make money or use for energy in Indian reactors.Does it take time to extract Uranium when we have great technologists who have been extracting radioactive materials from Kerala sea coast, Bihar and ne
It is a very critical situation for the country and i have full support for our PM. The only words of support I can have for him is that, Mr. PM remember that \"it is not education but ignorance which is our bane\". Our political mindset has to undergo a quantum change in order to visualise our role and stand in the coming years. We have to create an image of responsible nuclear members in the world scenario and not suffer from some complex to act like a pariah. Our utmost aim should be in realising the change in geo-politics this deal will usher in. We cannot just afford to hang on to some dogma just for the sake of trying to maintain one\'s vested interests.
