great scholars of islam
by dinesh kumar on Aug 30, 2007 11:20 PM  Permalink

i think all the believers of faithfreedom can bother to talk about hinduism and learn more about hinduism and spread the ideals and the beliefs of hinduism ,why it is rooted in simplicity, and why it doesnt seek to convert people of other faiths, and why it accepts every faith with respect.considering that 80 % of our country is hindu, that would be a great service to society.

if there is any problem with any sleeper cells inspired from across the border, the law enforcement agencies are fully equipped to handle that.

A sensitive Story & Insensitive readers !!
by Very Amused on Aug 30, 2007 11:18 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

This story gives an insight on the problems faced by the helpless parents of suspected terrorists. It also gives us the insight as to how terrorists are born !!!

But all that the readers here seem to see is an opportunity tocontinue to bash a religion. As long as this insensitivity continues in Indian society, it will provide a breeding ground for terrorism !!!

Please do not compare another wrong to make this right !!
However, the prime difference is that no Kashmiri Hindu is looked upon as a terrorist in his own country. They are not under constant pressure to always prove their loyalty, patriotism to the country. They are not looked at with suspicion !!

Muslims of Kashmir do not look upon Hindus as terrorists !! I do not know why you think so.

Hindus of Pak & bang. also are not subjected to so much scrutiny and suspision as we do !!

Being very amused on being looked upon as terrorist, what solution mr amused thinks of (or justifies)? Be one, and blow himself up and other innocent people.

Well done, mr amused. I am not surprised that islam could produce with a person of such wrapped thinking. Projecting himself as an intellectual. What to think of others not so.

If you get bad grades in exam or fail, shoot the examiner or the whole college. Do not bother to introspect, whether you studied well or not.

Keep it up!!

Jyoti..

A couple of assumptions you are making. That I am a Muslim, which I am not. And also that I am justifying the actions of a terrorist, which I am not.

If I take your analogy....lemme say this that for any student getting a bad grade will not hurts as much as ....being ridiculed & looked down upon for being a bad student and poking fun before the exams that he will surely fail !!! Therein lies the problem with the isolation of muslim society.

If you read the article on which you are commenting...you will know..what circumstances led to his sun running away from home in 2004. You will again find that maybe, it was the condemnation of all muslims as terrorists ( a feeling quite eveident in these forums) that led to his going astray !!!

If he is a terrorist, kill him
by Sheetal Kaur on Aug 30, 2007 11:18 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

this may be the thought of a law abiding god fearing father a true gentleman, But killing does not solve the problem, Kill one and two will replace him.
We need to educate these people that killing is not the answer( these people are brainwashed). as the Gandhi ji said " An eye for an eye will make the whole world blind ".
kill the crime in the person and not the criminal.
As Guru Gobind Singh ji said exhaust all means of reform first ,if it does not work picking up the sword against the law breaker is justified.
bring these people to the justice lock them up for a long time and see if they can become good citizens if not kill them by all means.

Prophet Mohammed (pbuh)
by bqrb on Aug 30, 2007 11:17 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The principles of universal brotherhood and doctrine of the equality of mankind which he proclaimed represents one very great contribution of Mohammad to the social uplift of humanity. All great religions have preached the same doctrine but the prophet of Islam had put this theory into actual practice and its value will be fully recognized, perhaps centuries hence, when international consciousness being awakened, racial prejudices may disappear and greater brotherhood of humanity come into existence.

By Prof. K. S. Ramakrishna Rao, Head of the Department of Philosophy, Government College for Women University of Mysore, Mandya-571401 (Karnatika).Re-printed from "Islam and Modern age",

If that is true then why are sunnis blowing shias. Why is taliban killing the innocent people in Afghanistan.
Why did the terrorists in Kashmir are ethnically cleansing the hindus.

Your understanding of religion is too shallow, if u actually want to understand the purpose of life, follow the virtue of so many researchers of God across 'Sanatana Dharma' and related religions in the Indian subcontinient. your try to brainwash people by your seemingly 'coool' by thoughtless comments of yours..

Islam
by bqrb on Aug 30, 2007 11:15 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Mahatma Gandhi, in his inimitable style, says "Some one has said that Europeans in South Africa dread the advent Islam -- Islam that civilized Spain, Islam that took the torch light to Morocco and preached to the world the Gospel of brotherhood. The Europeans of South Africa dread the Advent of Islam. They may claim equality with the white races. They may well dread it, if brotherhood is a sin. If it is equality of colored races then their dread is well founded."

PROPHET MOHAMMED
by bqrb on Aug 30, 2007 11:13 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Miss. Sarojini Naidu speaking about this aspect of Islam says, "It was the first religion that preached and practiced democracy; for in the mosque, when the minaret is sounded and the worshipers are gathered together, the democracy of Islam is embodied five times a day when the peasant and the king kneel side by side and proclaim, God alone is great." The great poetess of India continues, "I have been struck over and over again by this indivisible unity of Islam that makes a man instinctively a brother. When you meet an Egyptian, an Algerian and Indian and a Turk in London, it matters not that Egypt is the motherland of one and India is the motherland of another."
