The author's claim that communists%u2019' as the custodian of highest per capita of brainpower is a poor joke! It is because of these custodians of brainpower who made Kerala a consumer state. It was this group of scoundrel spread riots and destruction of public services systems in the name of communism. Singur etc was another episode of this inherent barbarism of the commusts.

The left, having secured just around 10% of the seats in the Lok Sabha is holding the country to ransom and trying to drive it through the principles that do not consitute a popular vote. Let them do what they want when the enjoy true majority and I pray to anyone who grants wishes so that I never see such a day in my life.

A very apt and timely article to call the bluff of Manmohan Singh and his crony advisers. They are the one putting India into a path of great danger and subservience. The US govt has followed a foreign policy which has the worst track record in modern history in promoting democracy or justice. Actually its abuse of power in achieving its imperial ambitions is no secret. Where possible by use of force (eg Iraq), and in many cases, by directly or indirectly (via sponsoring rebel groups) toppling democratically elected govts (eg, many latin american countries) and install puppet dictators (Saddam inclusive). Whereever explicit coercion is not possible, use of carrots (like nuclear deal to India); notice how they start showing the stick when India tries to follow an independent foreign policy vis-a-vis Iran. Domination of the world by making most countries (incl ours) its client state is the grand strategy for maintaining its hegemony.

Chinese have long moved from being a Socialist paradise to a system of having a primitive form of Capitalistic Society (of Robber baron era) combined with a Stalinist Political system; while their local apologists continue to do their job of dragging India down by rigorously opposing every instance of economic liberalization & it's attempts to break out of diplomatic straitjackets. maybe they can occupy the rooftop of parliament and start screaming Long Live Ch Mao ( even though he's dead and discredited in his home...
