Steet dogs are generally afraid of watch dogs.Decency and culture often take a back seat when street dogs run here and there and give a pathetic fearful bark on sight of the watch dog.CPI(M) has not won with an alliance with the Congress.CPI(M) has not taken the stand against the nuclear agreement out of any selfish motives.Their view may be different from the Congress.Decent people in the Congress also know that.But empty bottles make more sound.So the media and the money bags turn to indecent criticism against the CPI(M).It is to the credit of CPI(M) that they never threatened the UPI with empty threats of withdrawl of support.They have not done it even today.But they may do it if the Congress foolishly believe that they have a two third majority in the present Lok Sabha.

Light bulbs invented by the west. Computers. transportaion technology whch uses internal combustion engines invented by the west. Water pumps using magnetic rotary technology invented by the west. pants and shirts whch are distinctively western. Spectacles whch were first developed in europe. I am amazed how come rediff is allowing publishing of one defamatory remark after other. Do they even know that allowing publishing of defamatory remarks can send them behind jail. Calling someone traitor without any proof/evidence is prima facie defamatory. And rediff must know they have a strict liablity if they allow publishing these defamaotry remarks.
This article is the first sensible article I have seen on Rediff and it is getting such treatment shows rediff message board is being abused by few to mislead people.

Its an open secret that the Communist Party Of India has an Alliance with the Communists frm China. The Commies in India get direct orders frm the chinese embassy in delhi whch has been proved by the intelligence bureau and RAW. The current opposition is a direct responce of the opposition of the chinese to this deal. It has been well documneted that the commies in India owe their loyalty to their chinese masters. The IB has credible evidence of the orders issued by the chinese to the Lefts in India to not to let this deal pass by at any cost.
It is rather surprising that you speak of democracy but have such a low opinion of ourselves as Indians about anyone's designs on us. Neither 7th fleet nor supercomputers have hindered us. Why don't our communist friends preach to China not to increase nuclear energy for themselves. And France with 75% of nuclear energy! Before technology and systems permit us to use alternate methods commercially we have to get power some way! Unless the game plan is to keep us "below" China using some logic or the other!
Communists have done themselves a great disfavour. The next general election will show this.
Let us have faith in India and its one billion people. Many are hungering for just one small bulb to light their darkness. Others for continuity to energise their pumps. Industrialists who offer the vital vitamin "M" to all political parties need power!
One day, some day we as a global village will have to give up nuclear power. Till then, as babes need milk and adults don't, we will need the nuclear milk to continue to grow and 9% or more!

A crap article written by worhtless ppl who keep weeping abt. winie litte things coz they don't have n e thing to do in life.. the writer above might have pointed out some 10-20 problems with nuclear power dealing with which is not a big issue. People like these should live in villages with no electricy and coal to cook food. then they would no what nuclear power could do to India.
The renevable sources of energy u are talkn abt are stilll nt technically advanced enough to provide huge amounts of eletric power required to power our economy whch is growin by leaps and bounds. We should accelerate research in renevable energy no doubt as that is the best solution to save this planet. Bt right now nuclear energy is the best way to reduce carbon emission. Renevable sources can provide less than 1% of energy today. the rest of the 99% will have to live in the dark till we have the tech. If we dont embrace nuclear power we will do more damage to the environment. The technology to store nuclear waste is far superior than all the carbon that we emit in the atmosphere. watch the documentary by AL Gore who has advocated nuclear energy over coal.
So u have no proble with China on the capitalist path but India should neva take the capitalist path. You have no problems with china becomin an economic superpower bt India should alwaze remain a third world poor country.... All our problems can be solved if u plz leave ths country and settle down in china or cuba.. whn will u do it Medha patkar madam...
Have u observed the method of discussion adopted by the opposition in the parliament, do you think any issue can ever be properly debated in our parliament. No way! first we must cure that and then blame why there is no debate. A bar and a night club can offer a better climate to discuss things in our country.
