Do we really care for common man in India? We need energy. But why Nuclear energy? Europe on the whole is discarding it? American nuclear lobby and Indian agents will make fortune from cut money. This is not development this is money making opportunity for agents. Common man will only suffer as they have been doing that for last 200 years.

As long as politicians are there, we need to depend on them. No one man go & talk. In any transactions there is money involved. Tell me some free-deal happen any where. Do you work for loading the uranium from foreign to India.
Very Bad Points. These people are opportunists. They don't have any solid point to prove they are genuine. Their only aim is to prevent development. Also these people background proved in court they get funding from foreign, which they denied. India is not just a few thousant software engineers who had the opportunity to come to USA and think whatever in USA can be duplicated in India. India still is a agriculture based country which means 70-80% of India still eat because there is land to farm. N-deal is not just a nuclear supplier agreement. If this agreement was with any other country, no one would have objected because that agreement would only be a supplier-user agreement. But with usa, controlled by corporates, this is opening up our nation to corporate exploitation. They always wanted indian market. In USA each american is in consumer debt to the order of 20000 dollars that they cannot pay back in their life time. So the corporates understood that USA is no more a good market. Now they are in trying to make the entire world their market using words like 'Globalization, Global cooperation, together we win, win-win situation and all'. Fact is they want customers. US admin understand that globalization is good for US people in the future and they do their level best to support corporations. We cannot blame them as they do good for their country. These kinds of deals are for making the entry of corporates in india easier. That is the bad part of the deal. Why corporates are bad for indian situation is another topic.

This article is written by people who think that wind/solar energy etc can fulfil the electricity demand of India. They don't know that its IMPOSSIBLE (unless they create infrastructure on almost half of the Indian land). Wonder how much money and resources it would require. Also, they talk about US having lots of discussions, whereas Indians having few. Well, India need this energy, and other tech benefits coming along with this deal. So, understand that and then talk. Secondly, they talk about harms of nuclear energy. They don't know that if properly mined and used, nuclear is cleanest. They need to fight for proper mining, instead of complete stop of nuclear energy. Thirdly, they talk about India Pak arms race crap. Well, we need energy and have to work to get it. Why worrying about a stupid neighbour, who anyway will continue arms race. Also, that peace process is an eyewash. Everyday we hear news of intruders in Kashmir and other places in India. So, there is no peace process actually. Why worry about this. If India wants to stand as a strong nation, then Indian citizens needs to shed off such stupid fears from their mind. They need to be strong and confident not to let anyone interfere with their foreign policy; at the same time not fearing about its neighbours while doing such deals.

I think you are absolute wrong! The nuclear power is mosr costly form of energy. But most important point is that it is not a renewable energy and with present usage rate it will be exhausted within next 50 years! it is more puzzling as We ourselves don't have uranium and will be totally dependendent on other countries. European countries have realised that (except France, any case have no option now!)and switching fast onto renewable energy.US have no market in Europe any more so dumping this trash on us. The scientists who have opposed this deal got it right.

I was totally surprised by the observation that government of india can enter into any treaty with any country abrogating the peoples voice represented by the parliament.Even voting right and discussion in parliament had been gagged. Already the country is ruled by an extra constitutional center more in favor with countries outside india than people inside, and it has already created enemies out of friends and has made friends, enemies. The government of India has positioned itself as the friend of terrorist outfits,while the PM himself is loosing sleep thinking how to protect raw murderers executing premeditated murders in India as well as abroad.How can a government have more power than the parliament when it is only a creature of the parliament?If it has, then people has more power than the parliament and the government. Open revolution mutiny and death will be the result, not democracy. If the GOI makes any agreement with any body, the people of India will never loose their basic rights and power,and any agreement entered into such a government will be null and void, not binding to the people of india. Such agreements which affect the very basic rights of citizens cannot be ratified unless the whole text is made public,made open to debate,and then every citizen gets an opportunity to study,question or accept what has been made available to him,and gives a majority in a plebiscite. The Hyde Act is a cosmetic effect to shut the mouths of the Non Proliferation hawks in Washington who vehemently oppose this deal. It can neva and will neva bind India into anything. The US understands it has no leverage to stop India from testign weapons. The US will not withdraw from the deal neither will it impose sanctions on India as it has billions of dollars of investment in India. Remember 1998 whn US imposed sanctions on India and has to finally bite the dust whn they realized it was their companies that were suffering the most.
