This summarises headless chiks
by girish s on Aug 22, 2007 12:34 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

"There are deliberate attempts by members day in and day out to disrupt the proceedings. It seems they are not desirous of running the House."
On a lighter note, Mr. Speaker shud arrange phor Englis kilaas phor maananeeya sadasya-gan so they can understand that English is a very different and often funny language, especially if interpreted out of context.

MPs are angels
by Samay Niti on Aug 22, 2007 12:33 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The people who are protesting in the Lok Sabha are angels and saints. Corruption is a word which is alien to them. They speak nothing else but the truth. They know to earn their living with honesty. They are much concerned about India and its future and they want the common people of India to treat them like Gods.

Sympathy for Congress
by Suresh Dubey on Aug 22, 2007 12:33 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I am a BJP supporter. I have been voting for BJP from lat 15 17 years. This is first time it appears to me after several years that congress is trying very hard in the interest of country. Otherwise it was all the time looking like they are just playing vote politics specially for muslim votes. If this government falls on this issue i will certainly be in favour of congress and vote for it.

Yes so that all our nuclear power plants fall in the hands of minority politicians in the next 15 years, thanks to infiltration, reservation abetted by Congress.
BJP has acted in an irresponsible manner but if you see how the Congress has treated BJP in its last 3 years, maybe you will change.

Fire the Indian Ambassador to the US
by Peter Parker on Aug 22, 2007 12:32 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The ambassador should be reminded of his place. He is a spokesman for the Indian government in the US and not for the US government in India. With this kind of attitude I seriously doubt the integrity of Mr Ronan Sen. I also doubt his intention to act in the best interest of India. Fire him from his post immediately.

What truth? He says that this is the best deal they could get and we should all agree to it? Where is the independent review? Why did'nt they agree to an independent review, if only in secret, so that the major parties could agree to this deal. Do remember that is a deal between India and the US not between the Kangress party and the republican party. In the US we saw the congress agreeing and setting parameters which clearly constrained the president. No such thing happened on our side. Mr MMS gave more than what he should have. You almost all the major parties disagreeing with this deal, which is even amazing considering that it was BJP that initiated this process.
As far as Mr Ronan Sen is concerned the credibility of this prime minister is already under question as he cannot deliver support. Signing this treaty will spell a death knell to the nuclear deterence. In my considered opinion there is no way we should sign the treaty in its current form.

by Prabhakaran Nair on Aug 22, 2007 12:31 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Hon.President Pratibha Madam. Will you use your power to dismiss all Opposition MPs from the Parliament. Sen told the truth. The MPs are elected by People of our country to do good things for India and not for playing dirty politics in Parliament. Is there any law or legal section there to stop such things? Please show your power as a President of India, to save our country from these type of Politican. Or give power to public to recall the elected representative. We don't require such people.

It is the responsibility of the ruling party and the prime minister to take the Nation into confidence before signing the 123 Accord with US. he MPs across party lines have asked this. Also remember that that our nuclear scientists and also our former Prez who hiself is a scientist have opposed the treaty as it binds us from developing technology for the future. The present disruptions in parliament is telling on the lack off leadership capabilitis on the part of the speaker and the prime minister. The Speaker is Somnath Chatterjee is always partial and unfair and the opposition has pointed this out many times. contrast his actions versus the former Vice prez Shekhawat, who although from BJP, did never show any favour or partiality to his party in Rajya sabha. What we need are Speaker and a prime minister who has the trust of the people of this great nation and not of just one italian lady.. Presently these people are in their posts only because they enjoy the trust and confidence of an italian Lady, who doesnot have the trust of the people.

For kind Information of all i could say that the communists governments not only in west bengal and kerala, all over the world had achieved negative growth in their countries or states. When Russian communism fell in early nineties, the russian economy was found to be so poor that they had to export their young girls to sustain their hunger for food. West Bengal was no1 state in India before 80s. They produced maximum geniuses and was the most industrialised state and we had Bengalis ruling the Bolly woowd. Now West Bengal is in competition with Bihar for the last slot in development. Communists have destroyed Kerala to the extent that we are sending our sisters and wives to the Gulf and the west to sustain a livelihood. Solution: Voting rights to be rerved only for graduates. Those who donot know what are the needs of the country and the society cannot be expected to take a good decision. Their decison depends on some silly money and liquor given out in the last moment.
