Our so called MPs who are supposed to be the saviours of democracy want only filthy money. The donot want any development (meaning nuclear power and the subsequent development we gain after getting sufficient power). If anybody from the ruling party can offer these cheats a good sum of money, they will keep quiet and keep their tail like a dog

George fernandes is not a government representative. He has every right to make such a comment. We should send Womanmohan singh to metal asylum for insulting parliament by making unfair document.

Sen's remarks
by Ganesh Bangera on Aug 22, 2007 12:52 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Most of the MP's don't even know what is 123 agreement! Some of them may not even know the spelling of 'nuclear'!!Many of them have criminal background. Some of these MP's are a blot to the country's image. What 'self respect' they are talking about, when they don't have any?
Mr.Sen of course, made a mistake of talking 'casual'to a'sensational news hungry'correspondent without realising that it could create such a big furore & embarassment to the already embattled Govt.over nuclear deal.As far as people of India are concerned, they seem to be in favour of nuclear deal, except for few 'headless chickens'!!!

Hopeless MPs
by Jeba Singh on Aug 22, 2007 12:51 PM  Permalink

This MPs elected by the people to do good to the country. once they enter the parliment they are MPs of people and not of their party. useless fellows are disrupting the proceedings of the parliment. and proclaiming bundhs and harthals as they like as though its is their own fathers house. instead of pleading for the development of their places they just shout and spoil the time in parliment. first of all these fellows should know for what they are elected.
there should be a rule brought out in our country that once they are elected to the parliment the MPs should be the MPs of the people and not the political parties. for five years they are supposed to be in parliment and there should be no election. now the time has come to rewrite the constitution because, we are wasting lot of our money on election. where this dirty politicians does not know the value of it and wast. they build their own kingdom. HEADLESS CROOKS

Valuable time and money meant for parliamentary proceedings are being lost by unruly behaviour of the Members of Loksabha and/or Rajyasabha. The so called representatives "of the people" are making a mockery of the parliamentary system with ulterior motives. The sole function of the opposition parties whether in State Assemblies or at national level are to make obstruction for the sake of opposting everything the ruling party tries to implement. As a result important legislative business cannot be taken up indefinitely. On the other hand the the so called representatives continue to enjoy all sorts of facilities, benefits and perks at tax payer's expenses. In the name of democracy the politicians, irrespective of party affiliations, are cheating the public. Mr. Ronen Sen, Hon'ble Ambassador to U.S. has made right comments. So instead of calling him back, the Constitution to be amended to call back those irresponsible and corrupt representatives, who shed crocodile tears for the poor but become rich and richer.

GPO
by Samay Niti on Aug 22, 2007 12:46 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

We have BPO & KPO, but why not GPO? GPO means Governance Process Outsourcing. When Parliament stops functioning governance can continue by exercising GPO. Anyone interested in GPO? I think NRIs would do a wonderful job of this.

Then the GPOs will be going on strike and hold the country to ransom instead of the law brokers. Then we need laws and policies against that, then the lawmakers will come back to make the law.

Thats not a good idea. What is needed is we electbetter lawmakers.
