headless chickens
by Sundar Singham on Aug 21, 2007 04:18 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Did Sen mean only the MPs? Or was he going to attend a chicken meal? I am happy he did not say headless peacocks for then the tension would have been less, because peacocks are more beautiful to admire than chickens that only chirp continually round their mother!
What makes one wonder is that when words such as chicks or puppies and baby animals or birds are mentioned, why do our beloved and respected and worshipful reps wear the caps at once as if they fit them only and notany other such as, the members of the administrative machinery or fundamental groups or terrorists and their ilk? Why get so easily and readily wounded on each utterrance that wafts over the wind? No patience? What will our young ones(chickens) learn from us? Let us learn to brush aside things of less consequence and take on a humourous disposition. Instead of chillies add some spices.Learn to smile at hiccups. Dont make a mountain of a mole hill! Then the world will admire us!

Ignorance
by SSS Roy on Aug 21, 2007 04:17 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Some ignorant persons are writing here, who have not gone throught the agreement as well as no knowlege about history. Even they don't read newspapers. Most of them must have some link with USA. So they don,t bother about mass.

Hi SSS Roy, if you are clear, could you point out the benefits and non-benefits of this agreement? No I do not want the copy of those bullshit from Karat's or Basu's moth. Could you please explain after going though the agreement, if you feel like all who are writing here are ignorant?

My view is that India shoul not sign the 123 Agreement. It has been evident that, whicever Nation that US supports, eventually get back stabbed by it.

Also India has the technology and resource, which may take some years to refine it, but we do have out integrity and our freedom of choice uptill now. After 123, India will have to satisfy every whims and fancies of US. Not only that, but all our Nuclear Program shall be under US scrutiny. Where does that leave a scope for India becoming a Nuclear Super Power. Nuclear sper power, in just energy production...Phoooooey. Its like a Chicken without any flesh.

Also, India cant carry out its Nuclear missile tests....then how do the hell we carry out the nuclear armmamemnt refinment.

On the whole, if we go into the treaty in depth, then it comes out that India tends to loose in Long Term.

Mannu Beware of 123.

Only 2 nations in the whole world are opposing this deal, China and Pakistan.... China has the Most Favored NAtion status with the US and opposes the same status for India. China has got a similar nuclear deal with the US bt opposes the deal with India... Jyoiti Basu of CPM protested against Indian defence againt chinese invasion of india in 1962 and was jailed by Nehru for anti India activities. Basu went on to become the CM of bengal. Commies never condemn Chinese claim of arunachal Pradesh whn the people themselves want top be part of India.. CPM opposes Indian nuclear progress bt has no problems with Chinas nuclear arming of pakistan whch are targeted towards India and supports iranian nuclear program. The communists oppose industrialiazation in India and went on killing 100's of poor farmers in Singur and Nandigram tryin to grab farmers fertile land for setting up industries. Commies are ruling bengal for more than 30 years now and have reduced bengal from being the finest to being the poorest.. Only big industry in commie ruled states bangal and kerala are trade unions and their number one product is strikes and bandh. Commies vociferously opposed introduction of computers by rajiv gandhi, commies cald computers as evil and against national interest. Commies neva condemned chinese invasion of India in 1962. Commies do not recognize aksai chin in kashmir as part of india. Use your logic now...
