You really had the courage to do so, when a large number of diplomats though share the same feelings as you do could not express themselves fearing a backlash. You spoke for us. THANK YOU..!!!
Opposition to 123 rests on concrete issues of vital national interest. Why is India represented by a person without respect for Parliamentary democracy, and why cannot Rediff report comments of an interview accurately? It is a gross insult to India by any reckoning.
This is hilarious and very very shameful. I just hope that this news doesn't spread across the world. We all take pride in being indians and one of india's biggest usp is that we are one of the the LARGEST english speaking countries in the world. So, what happens is some illiterate genius who probably never studied past 4th grade gets elected as an MP (Kudos to us ppl who select these uneducated morons to lead us) and is not able to comprehend a simple harmless comment made by an erudite envoy which is not even directed at them (From the interview it is clear that thwe comment was directed at the media and not any MPs) and waste a full days worth of time and money in unnecessary hullaballo. If this not the insult of parliament, then what is?

exactly. truly pathetic state of affairs in india where peope misunderstand more than understand things right. it is a huge tragedy that the hindus must conduct their affairs in a language foreign to them, be english or urdu (language of muslim moguls), the basis of all miscommunication. any way, this sideshow at this point is counterproductive. indian lawmakers need to debate this whole thing quickly with an open mind, and vot eon it quickly.
