What is the uproar all about?
by Truth Be Told on Aug 21, 2007 06:53 AM  Permalink

As per the Constitution and the current laws, the Government does not need to table its agreement with a foreign country in Parliament or obtain the approval of either the Lok Sabha or the Rajya Sabha for the same. All that is needed is the approval of the Cabinet which has already been obtained.
Why is Dr. Singh, who must be lauded for finalizing the agreement, wriggling & squirming on the issue now? Why doesn't he just go ahead on the basis of the agreement and imprison the likes of Karat & Yechury for blatant anti-national activities designed to help a regional superpower?
If Manmohan Singh has a visible fault it is that of being a wimp. This is his chance to prove that he isn't, wheeler-dealers & manipulators like Pranab Mukherjee & Sonia Gandhi notwithstanding.

Manmohan

would not be where he is but for Sonia Gandhi. Many racist fools on this board refuse to see that. Behind every decision that the government makes, her hand is there. Manmohan was not completely forthcoming about the implications of the Hyde act. The communists are coming out with the negative side of the 123 agreement. What is wrong with that? Questioning peoples patriotism is a bogus tactic to win an argument.

The Nuclear Deal a Must
by on Aug 21, 2007 06:51 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

DO YOU KNOW :
NUCLEAR POWER REACTOR PRODUCES ELECTRICITY AT 30p PER UNIT. HYDRO AT RS 3.40 PER UNIT AND COAL AT rS 3.80 PER UNIT. WATER RESERVES ARE GOING DOWN COAL RESERVES ARE GOING DOWN. INDIA HAVE MAXIMUM URANIUM RESERVES IN THE WORLD.
THERE IS NO RESPITE IF WE DO NOT DO THE DEAL.
DO WE WANT TO LIVE IN DARKNESS OR WITHOUT WATER IN 2020 ?????

THE DEAL IS A ABSOLUTE MUST.

LET US NOT DO PETTY POLITICS AND THINK FOR THE COUNTRY GROWTH WHICH IS THE DREAM OF EX PRESIDENT APJ ABDUL KALAM WHICH IS BEING MATERIALISED WITH PM MANMOHAN SINGH'S EFFORT.

I THINK YOU ALL CAN UNDERSTAND THE EFFECT ON THE INDIAN ECONOMY IF WE START USING ELECTRICITY GENERATED BY NUCLEAR POWER REACTORS.

Srini Your vote is for communist or bjp. I can see red and orange flames on your words.

Your comments have no values here as you are one sided and not neutral and that makes to think that you dont like presperity of India.

Govt (which you desperately want to see fall) may fall in order to save a deal that is crucial for our country.........

So, now I am confused. Aren't you not putting your hatred in front of your country?

I am sure with the feelings like this you can never choose a right government for us.

RE:i blame bengalis!!
by Vishnu Sharma on Aug 21, 2007 06:43 AM  Permalink
Bengalis are perennial rebels.
I have come across Bengalis who qualify to fit the genius category and they are all outside Bengal.
Take Amar Bose for example.
But Within Bengal especially after West Bengal
slipped into the coils of the Left Python everyting has gone topsy turvy.
I have lived in Calcutta for two years and I can narate an incident.
In our arts class in school we were modelling busts of great people using clay.
Our arts teacher chose to demonstrate how to model Lenin's head.
When I stood up and objected he got irritated
I told him that I would rather model Netaji's head or Swami Vivekananda's head. All hell broke loose that day. I was constantly badgered and assaulted by my classmates.
I have never seen a people who have so completely sold their souls to the enemy.
