Letists leave India please!

Your arguments are self motivated and based on exaggerated facts. In past 30years, there was a tendency to make more nuclear bombs than fuel. Now the concept is changed. One bomb is enough to change the geography. You need to provide food, good education, health and shelter to your fellow citizens. US helped India earlier in the development and still an ally. Every year 100,000 Indian students come in US to study. This has enormously increased India s ability to channelize its brain stock towards technological and intellectual breakthroughs and also to increase its foreign reserves by several folds. My question to all of the hypocrites and US haters, why do these students do not go to study in Russia, China, Vietnam or even Pakistan? Russian and Chinese technologies are outdated and smuggled from US and could never meet the demands set by technological advancements. This N-deal will provide sufficient footage to India to stand on its own feet and also enable her to face her neighbors undauntedly. Look at the statements from China and Pakistan. They are feeling enormously insecure in response to our N-deal. Additionally China is utilizing its Indian communists to jeopardize the deal. Folks don%u2019t let that happen. It is your chance to show the solidarity as a country and to demean evil forces which always dragged you in the past.

The left is acting on behalf of foreign powers to stall India's progress. They do not have any right to stay in this country. Had this happenned in China they would have crushed the rebellion and sent these people to Jail. It is only our democracy and values because of which these people are thriving in our country and preventing it from progressing. They should simply be asked to leave the country and go to China.

Your argument regarding the Nuclear Deal, vis-a-vis china and pakistan, makes sense.

But, the other benefits viz "the deal will provide sufficient footage to India to stand on its own feet" does not seem realistic. For that to happen, we need good and honest governance and that is something that this country may never see.

Mr.Dan Lewis, Whoever you are could you please agree to a live discussion on tv about your view so that we can show to the world that you don't have any or all of the facts that are relevant to the situation. This is not about just a deal , it is about AMERICA 's intent to invade the world...We would prefer it if you refrained from saying statements like ' Leftists leave India Please' When in fact you dont have all the facts before you.

Well said Lewis. Unfortunately in India, the democracy is more a logistics game than a people mandate. The beleif in political parties is getting concrete that any decision in the nation's interest may hurt the minotiries which is far from truth. Many states banned the construction of high rise towers because it may resemble WTC and may hurt the minorities sentiments. This is really rediculous and unfortunately these sentiments are working very strong in INdia. As the minorities account for 17% population and 40% votes, as mentioned logistics perfectly work for politicians and all they need to do is put hard your self in the path to the developement.
Today many people are crossing the proverty line at the speed that has never been there, because of the developement and ofcourse i dont need figures to explain it is because of the trade with US. I'm not a fool to beleive that politicians do not understand this. Atlast the logistics/ figures work.

Yes its true, Its the win-win situation for India and US. There is nothing to loose even if we conduct Nuclear test (God knows when?) and US puts sanctions. Its the path for India to become superpower.

Nuclear Deal
by Deepinder Chani on Aug 20, 2007 07:59 PM  Permalink

Withdrawing ourselves from the nuclear deal would significantly negatively impact the country's economy.

Also, we need to ask ourselves as to what are going to gain with the nuclear tests? Even if at a later date nuclear tests become unavoidable, no one can stop us from doing so and the consequence would be the cancellation of the agreement, which in any case does not exist as of today. We can revert to present scenario any time we want to.

China & Pakistan would be the happiest nations if the deal does not get thourgh.

wht is this LEFTist doing here. No matter just have to oppose whatsoever coming from US and favour whatsoever that comes from china...
Nobody has stopped us from testing nuclear weapons. We have to just bear in mind that any such tests will definitely be retalliated by strict sanctions which anyhow will be even if we dont sign this deal. It is our indian govt stand that we have given moratorium to nuclear testing. So just go for the agreement. Hyde Act gives out the details of sanctions if any country (getting US nuclear aid) carried out nuclear tests. Though with the present US govt stance this act is not completely binding.
