In India, The Opposition parties job is to oppose what ever the ruling government does. They do not analyze what is Good and Bad and how much the country gains or loose. Their Blind Motto is to oppose anything. These Morons do not have any sense on what they talk. They twist their tounge as they like and speak all bullshit. They do this to attract the un-educated voting mass attention for their votes in next election. Until un-education is eradicated this cannot be stopped.
This country has survived & thrived for more than 60 years !!! Mr. Madhav would like us to belive that both the left & the congress do not have regard for national interest.
But how is it that if only BJP/RSS have national interests in their hearts, the country is doing well for itself? I am sure that it cannot be possible that 6 years of BJP rule has not only cured all the ills of the past but also made the country so strong that another few years of misrule of others will not hurt us.
I think RSS shouldn't make such radical statements, which might go down well with most of the easy to ignite readers of this forum,but cuts no ice with progressive, educated liberal & secular citizens of the country.

you say its RSS is propagating against your fav. congress i dont support RSS but the fact which i cant deny was its BJP who conducted test and aggrisively put india on world map as growing power the test could have been done by congress in 1993 but at that time need was different and manmohan singh was looking for economic growth now to enable to carry on the growth we need energy and nucler energy is one of the prime source for the same y now left has problem when india looses its right to conduct nuclear test when just 89 year back they were the stonch opposer of nuclear test

Yes I care to know. I believe that the CNN IBN poll conducted alast week would comprise of educated middle class which gave a 76% approval rating for PM. Now you can dismiss this off as partisan.....but I will believe it has no reason to be partisan. And I disagree about Muslims supporting Congress. Ever since the Babri incident they have denounced it enmasse. And as a educated person, I do not see people around me supporting the politics of exclusiveness.

To all the 76% who voted in his favor - do you know that Dr Singh was one of the architects of India's disastrous planning policy shoulder to shoulder with 'great' Mahalanobis et al in the past? He floats with the stream. He did not invent liberalization. He is like potato who can mix with any vegetable. The 'best' reformer pair of Dr Singh and Chidambaram did not produce one significant infrastructural project in three years. Left parties were not the reason for this. BJP constructed 11,000 KM of four lane highways in just three years. The great economist did not raise the IT exemption limits by even a thousand rupees - he did not even adjust the natural inflation in IT exemption levels. An across the board service tax of 12.5% is breaking the back of every bill paid by the consumers. What did they do with all this money? They gave an employment guarantee scheme where money is paid to supposed rural labor without doing any work. SEZs are sold by the basketful. Gas cylinders which were in excess supply during NDA rule, suddenly went into the classic shortage regime of the 1970s. Mind you, I am not an NDA voter.

Ram Madhavji the BJP saint is possibly forgetting Thehelka, where some of his fellow saints were willing to sell the nation's security for a few thousands. And recently the BJP MP who was again putting the country's security at risk by taking a woman abroad as his wife. Who can prevent him from bringing back a spy from another country in the guise of his wife?
I am not for the nuclear deal, but the BJP is no Holy Cow. They are cheap people who play with our country's religious feelings but project a holier than thou attitude when it comes to the Congress. They have a few leaders with one leg in the grave and a few others distributing Trishuls. A party which incites violence has no moral standing to talk about any other party.
And, why this Sonia bashing? If Indians can become the leaders of other countries, why not Sonia? Singapore's President is an Indian.
At least we can credit the congress with this: they ruled the country for more than 40 of the 60 years we've been independent, and if not anything else, they at least have experience running such a large and culturally diverse country. What has the BJP to show? A whole lot of Bandh's and Hartals?

Can you argue without calling names? If i was a Sonia Chamcha i would be working at 10, Janpath. LOL. You can't face the facts that is Sonia has won 5 times election in India. UPA had done superbly in last 3 yrs - 10% growth rate, booming markets and bills like employment guarantee act. What more do you want for her to prove she is Indian and she cares for India. Can you show me one country which turned rich overnight? Yes, we may be poor but that we are not a flash in the pan economy was proved beyond doubt when the Asian economy went bust a few years ago and we came out unscathed. Remember what happened to Singapore, Korea etc? Our economy has the resilience to take such a shock because we've built a robust economy which is not dependent on just one field. If IT fails tomorrrow, we have our manufacturing sector to fall back on. Like a sponge, India will soak up any shock and emerge victorious. Incidentally, the Nehru family should be credited for this foresight. Indira Gandhi's name still spells respect in all corners of the globe, long after she left this world. If only Indira Gandhi were alive today, we would have witnessed an India which is a far different country. It's unfortunate she was killed at such a juncture for India. Incidentally, Sonia seems to be showing promise though in no way comparable to Indira Gandhi, and it's high time we stopped criticizing her and let her do her job.

suresh madhavan, you possibly know very little about the oath one takes when a person becomes a citizen of a country. Once you take that oath, your allegiance is towards that country. I am not saying the oath can make you Indian overnight, but that is the law of the land and laws are made after considerable thought by people who are competent to do so. There are several Indians in the USA who do highly confidential work, and all they look for when assigning someone such work, is US citizenship and security clearance. Just because Sonia has white skin makes her no less an Indian than you or me from the day she adopted Indian citizenship. She has every right like you and me and is not a foreigner. About her qualifications, the less said the better. How about our other Netas? How many of them have attended school? India has the highest number of law makers with criminal backgrounds. What do you have to say about that? AND - there is nothing shameful about working in McDonald's. In fact, I would respect people who work and earn a living.

What a sham? I thought Mr man Mohan singh is a sane person but I have to change my opinion. A party which could not cross the Nuclear Threshhold for so many years has no right to Negotiate a nuclear treaty with US. Buckle under US pressure and cave in. This Govt has to go sooner or later and must go. As for the 123 Agreement is concerned. It will be Nuked as soon as BJP returns to power. Then we will see what is the fall out. We will retain the right to test and have the nuclear deal too. If anyone has iota of doubt he/she better wake up. And all those buffoons
The BJP had a great chance to prove that it was not just another party opposing because they are in the opposition. They could have looked beyond their narrow interests for the sake of the nation. But then, it chose not to. I have lost all trust in BJP now. They are just another power hungry party. As for the left parties, we need a McCarthy to put them in their place. Maybe they should be shipped to China where they can serve their masters.
