The LEFTS are always soft on pakistan and china.when india is/was attacked by pakistan they always want the central to act like a passive and weak state for their muslim votebank.they are never vocal on muslim terrorism in india and abroad but at the same time it is reported in the bengal media that they are arresting and harrasing the adivasis and general public in the name of maoists and naxals.

In politics and in war nothing is fare and nothing is impossible.We all know that our Leftists work on chinnese concenrn yet the Congress Gov. did not think twice before forming the coalition Govt. Regarding the chinnese engineers you have talked about, I am not concerned about our our Indian counterparts, because for us, we can move to US,Canada,Australia,Germany or middle east to work on projects. I am, however, more concerned about the fact if these chinnese enginneres are the secret agents of their Govt and destined to create unstability and unrest in India. The discussion on this forum appears to be veering on one issue of banishing CPM and we are not able to tackle another equally important issue of agreement 123. This agreement may look to be favourable on its face has lot of fine prints which will become BOLD prints as and when our other party to greement will want. Remember, uncle SAM had never been a friend in NEED to any nation other than the ones' of its ilk. Our nuclear establishment is in neeed of fuel and technology. Nobody denies this question. But, as Dr. Kalam suggested that India should mature its Thorium based technology which will not need fuel from any country in future as we have huge reserves of this element in our country. If we can do such work than why to hurry? This fuel agreement will nodoubt affect our sovereignty. What is the intetrest of US in offering us nuclear technology/fuel? Do anyone think that India will be a good place to sale complex technology of nuclear nature? USA has many old nuclear plants which needs to be abondoned and need a place for dumping. If your memory is not off, remeber the IBM departure from India after emergency at the hands of George. IBM was selling computers which were mostly refurbished and obsolete in hardware and software. Now, when we have become powerhouse of IT, same IBM sends best of the line to India!! I could not understand after reading your article that your main topic of discussion was 123 agreement or proving China as our enemy or proving CPI(M) as Chinese agents.
You are an esteemed and learned person who was with government of India.
So I request you to enlighten us by writing a little more detail about what is there in this 123 agreement. I think everybody who is voting for and against this agreement should know in the first place what it is. We are talking about the agreement, so the question of China and CPIM should not be mixed up. After all you know that neither China nor CPIM are communists. So once people of India knows the actual truth about this deal and have the right to decide then all agents or non-agents will fall in line of the people. So please enlighten about the deal.

You are right neither being communists .. but they have love for each other. Any cooperation between US and India is detrimental to China's interest and they bribe the communist parties here to block these kind of deals. In fact the CP* parties will stoop to any levels to play to the beats of China as has been proved in the past. So it does not matter what is there 123 agreement, as long as China does not want it our communists would oppose it.
One does have to be careful about the N-Deal but is there any other way India can have clean energy for progress in order to become one of the top TWO nations on this earth?
India had foreign occupation for almost 1000 yrs and see the connivance of neighbour who has desires to Islamicise India by raining Ghaznavi, Ghauri and Abdali missiles with nuclear bombs on COLKATA hideout of the LEFT.
Dont the Indians have the right of protection from such enemies who existance is owed to ilegitimate rapes of Hindu women by Ghaznavis 18 invasions and others who followed him?

I will strongly suggest an advise for BJP that since BJP speaks so much of hindustva and claims that they and RSS are for the benefit of Indian, then why dont they support UPA in the said nuclear deal issue and throw Left out and make null their threats to the UPA Government. The said deal is for the benefit of India and all that Left is doing is to see the benefit of China. How can we Indian trust chinease again after their previous Hindu - Chini Bhai Bhai betrayal. BJP should support UPA on this issue.
