Do We Have Two Vital Issues Here????

The discussion on this forum appears to be veering on one issue of banishing CPM and we are not able to tackle another equally important issue of agreement 123. This agreement may look to be favourable on its face has lot of fine prints which will become BOLD prints as and when our other party to greement will want. Remember, uncle SAM had never been a friend in NEED to any nation other than the ones' of its ilk. Our nuclear establishment is in neeed of fuel and technology. Nobody denies this question. But, as Dr. Kalam suggested that India should mature its Thorium based technology which will not need fuel from any country in future as we have huge reserves of this element in our country. If we can do such work than why to hurry? This fuel agreement will nodoubt affect our sovereignty. What is the intetrest of US in offering us nuclear technology/fuel? Do anyone think that India will be a good place to sale complex technology of nuclear nature? USA has many old nuclear plants which needs to be abondoned and need a place for dumping. If your memory is not off, remeber the IBM departure from India after emergency at the hands of George. IBM was selling computers which were mostly refurbished and obsolete in hardware and software. Now, when we have become powerhouse of IT, same IBM sends best of the line to India!! What we need at this moment is to go slow on this agrfeement and push hard on our thorium technology to see results. Stop talking for some time these social engeeri
