LET US BE CLEAR......
by UmaShankar SathyaKumar on Aug 19, 2007 11:15 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

In the real NEW world, America need India and India need America.... In a multi-polar world, America has very few friends...countless enemies....It is necessary and in the best interest of Americans to work with Indians to be friends...

The US government debt grows by about $1.3 billion per day and has now crossed more than $13.2 trillion dollars. The US private household debt has now crossed more than $14.7 trillion and half of these debts have been incurred after 1998. The fact is that the expanding consumer debt drives the US economy. The US treasury receives about $1.3 trillion from taxes, the Indo-US nuclear deal is $25 billions and there are several sales by US to follow such as Boeing planes, F-16s, space technology..... The US now very desperately needs a growing partner and friendly country to make more money with depleting US economy. Also, a big voice to support its decisions from Asia on its foreign policies.

America is bankrupt. So, they need ASIAN money to buy their bread and butter by selling Nuke or whatsoever technology....

There is nothing wrong to get the nuke technology. If they try to screw India, screw them back like they have done to Germans in 1940-70's. USE AMERICA....

The lefts in Bengal made millions poor!! That's their big achievement to date..... Please.... NEVER VOTE TO LEFTS....

At least economic policies of Manmohan made millions of Indians to eat three meals a day.. I am one among them...

Jai Hind

With all the goodies u have for Manmohan, how can he sign off on a treaty even with out presenting it to the parliament? That in lay man's terms is called dictatorship and we don't need that. Freedom is paramount.

You used the right term "lay man". In the form of democracy that we have at the moment, parliamentary sanction is NOT needed for these kind of deals. Or else any govt. will take one term to get one thing passed in its tenure. Because the polarisation is on the lines of party lines & not an informed judgement whether a particular deal is good or bad !!

5 - conditions which should be a included in 123 agreement.

1) India must be free to future necular tests and no US law will bar the aid agreed in agreement.
2) Any aid, agreement, sale of arms or any hitech technology by US or any member of IAEA to any country in Asia or at least Indian subcontinent has to be subject to India's approval ( by 3/4th majority of parlament & not like bofors decisions of few )
3) In the event of war with any country, India should have right to use Necular weapon ( any no ) if attacked by necular weapon.
4) Certification by any future US president should be exempted.
5) India should have right for any necular deal with any country other than US.

More bomb?!!
by Tinku Baidya on Aug 19, 2007 11:08 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I think we have enough number of bombs to destroy the world several times.

So do we need any more? Do we need further testing or just to show muscle power??

We should focus on development of the villages where 80% people are still in distressed condition.

uff...u dont understand anything abt the deal!!

If u test anything secret in ur lab which is not under the IAEA safeguard, nobody will know what is happening there...so there is no question abt anything else other than nuclear bomp testing...hope u understand now!!

Why you think bombs is for destroy ???
It is a technology and used for Power generation . You always require latest technology to be tested.

The thing u r talking abt is not objected rather it will be supported if deal is okeyd.

If we test nuclear bomb then US will stop supply of uranium. That is where the problem lying...nothing else!!

Those are supporting the deal shd say to cong first to put the clauses/conditions of the deal in front of common people then only it wld be discussed and finalysed.

One more thing,-we need the same status of China
in the world and nothing else.If China,US,Russia,France,England even Pakistan,Iran,N.Korea can do a nuclear test then why we shd not?

If all of them leave nuclear test then we are also ready to leave it,otherwise not.

Those are supporting the deal blindly they are actually the blind supporters of Congress, nothing else.

Pls say if I am wrong.

truth lover.. unfortunately u are ignorant about the moot issue at hand.. the deal does not forbiod us frm testing.. yes, shoul we decide to test then the agreeement comes off.. we have the right but in a multilateral agreement we cannot direct the consequences of our actions.. US is free to choose the consequences fo an Indian test and India is free to test how many ever bombs it wants to.. altho God alone knows what significant insight we would generate from further testing.. till date of over 2000 bombs tested.. not one has failed.. and to top all matters the communist scum bags have no right to open their mouth .. they were the first to criticize the NDA govt in 1998 when the tests were conducted

You wanted toknow if you are wrong. Let me first tell you if you say something like "Those are supporting the deal blindly they are actually the blind supporters of Congress, nothing else." then you clearly come out as someone who is biased and who is a blind opponent of Congress. I don't know who you support but you will definitely not support the congress even if it is right.

Next, you cannot change the world order by comparing the permanent five of the NPT and others., not possible.

Then, India can also do a test but that may well mean end of co-operation. US is not co-operating with Pakistan, N.Korea or Iran on nuclear issue. One should realize that if India has a soverign right to test then, other countries including US have a soverign right to react in an appropriate manner. "You cannot have the cake and eat it too".

In 1974 after Pokhran-I, Canada and US ceased nuclear tech exports to India and after 1998 Pokhran-II, tens of countries including US and Japan issued sanctions and trade embargoes on India.

If you want unbiased opinions, read statements by Dr. Srinivasan, PK Iyyengaar, Anil kakodar etc, all highly respected members of past and present nuclear establishment. If these people favour the deal then, we must also. And think do we need to test anymore at all????

I do not know why you think common man should decide the fate of nuclear deal? Are they more knowledgeable about it that the govt., scientific community & defence strategeists??

Also, US, Russia China England have not tested any nuclear devices for nearly 15 years now !!!
And this should have nothing to do with any political party. The nations interests are/should be the only criteria/concern.

Create our own Bamb phodo Act which overrides Hyde
act. :) The best way to test Americans is to blow a couple of nukes and see their response, if they are mum. Then no problems with the deal.

Hehehehe! This is one of the few genuinely funny responses that I've seen.
The Commies have never been called to explain their stance during the 62 Chinese invasion or the contradictions in opposing India's nuclear test whilst supporting the Chinese in this direction.
They are just engaged in naked sophistry to block India-US ties. It is a disgrace that the Commies have so much clout in a country where they can win elections only in two states! Let us go to the polls and put the Commies in their place - ciphers that can impotently pontificate to their content in the canteens of JNU and the barber shops of interior Kerala!

The way political and ruling parties behave, very shortly we can expect either foreign rule or situation like Iraq. None of the politicians know abc of necular technology. Therefore final say must be of necular scientists and not any political persons. There are so many technical flaws which only scientist will be able to address. Committee must comprise of necular scientists, constitutional experts, representative of each political party to save India from the GHOST of 123 agreement.
